James, love Tuck ❤️, love the way he follows you through out the video ! There is always good advice and tips.Living in Arizona has been challenging, but your help has been 👍 Hope you and Tuck have a great week !
@jamesprigioni You are a good teacher. Lots of folks like me are learning a ton. I agree, the camera work is good and really adds a lot. And Tuck does a good job of taste testing and security. And chilling.
“One of our greatest tools as gardeners is variety selection.” I’ve never thought about it that way before, but that sounds like the making of a great video series!
We LOOOOOOVE Tuck! He is the key to your fantastic assortment and harvest. ❤❤❤ Seriously - I really enjoy your videos and always feel inspired. Thank you, your cameraman and Tuck for the excellent content!
You seem to have an awesome cool season growing time as here in Manteca, Ca. it is already in the 80's. My cool season crops bolted 2 months ago. Yay for grow-time !! My dog is a vegetable lover like Mr. Tuck as he enjoys radishes, turnips, green beans, snap peas, carrots, mild peppers and collard greens. Fun in the sun with a garden buddy.
I would love to know what you do with everything that you harvest. I know it's just you and Tuck and maybe your brother, but do you feed the rest of your family with this ...do you donate it? I would also love to see a video on how you store everything that you harvest like all the cabbages I think you harvested like five cabbages in one video ...how do you store all that? Do you chop it up and freeze it? Please do a video on that for everything that you harvest I would love to know how you store everything. Thank you again so much for all your videos you are really getting me into gardening although I'm in South Carolina and you're in New Jersey I'm taking a lot of notes LOL
I wish I had a Playlist of Tuck taking a bite of veggies!! I would play it while my patients were waiting see me! Trying to get ADULTS to eat veggies!! Tuck can show 'em how to eat right!! 😇💜💜
I really admire the time and effort you have put into making your garden :) !! It's amazing every time you start showing off your stuff and how you do what you do.... great job :) !! And Tuck is the best :) !!
Towards the end of this video, I just can't help but notice the soil. I think of all the YT growers out there James' soil is just so perfect. It really shows how experienced and intelligent his gardening is. Way cool.
I'm so excited... this is the first time in about 25 years that I've had a garden and I'm already eating from it! I harvested radishes last week, and baby spinach and romaine yesterday! I never really liked radishes, but found a pickled radish recipe that is soooooo tasty I'm going to plant a second batch. The other day I caught my husband with the jar in one hand, a fork in the other, and a guilty look on his face. 😂
Jerzee James & Tuck your beds are beautiful, full of color, such works of art, & really healthy looking plants! You got two green thumbs & paws! ❤️🐾❤️ Adorable Tuck chomping the good stuff! ❤️ Is for your video brother, he takes great shots of your harvest!
Always love your advice and energy! And of course, love for Tuck!! Little sweetheart💕💕💕🌿💕🌿💕🌿my dog eats more dirt than veggies!!😂😂🐾thanks for a great video
Kylo Ren of gardeners, you are my hero! Your enthusiasm is infectious and you have come a long way from where you were. Tuck‘s adorable, everything you say about gardening is true (except I have to make my own decisions as far as weather here in Germany. Did you ever lose crops because you, in hindsight, you sowed them too early? That’s quite of a problem over here. It’s a gamble every year. I’d like to see you elaborate and share experiences of failures. Seeing you wipe the dirt from a radish or carrot and then take a bite wins my heart every single time. That’s how we grew up. Oh, I bought those tomato clips and wheels, but my plants aren’t there yet. Too bad I cannot find that trellis system. I like it a lot. I tell everyone who is genuinely interested in gardening (Americans amongst them)to watch your channel to get a good sense for it and to avoid discouraging mistakes. I am also composting and the worms showed up on their own. Buying worms definitely seems a waste of money. I don’t know how, but I swear I have compost worms in my compost pile. They are smaller and thinner and more red in colour than your regular rain worms. When filling my second raised bed, my compost was wet and sticky and so I hosed down the buckets after I was done and discovered that dissolving compost in water makes a good liquid fertiliser and helps you save compost, if you don’t have so much and it gets the nutrients into the soil rather than drying out. Wishing you and tuck all the best and keep up the great job. Much love from Germany 🇩🇪
James I love your passion for gardening and I love that you put tuck in charge he's the best taste tester isn't he and he's so sweet give him some special love from me quick question I know you have your own brand of fertilizer can you maybe highlight one video on how you use it in your garden Thanks James for sharing much love to Mr tuck until next time❤
You're great guy! Thinking of nominating you as 'America's Gardener'! Like I'm all that, Right? From NJ, the Garden State!!! Your enthusiasm and discipline are inspiring or infective! Hey, you never know!?!?
Love your gardens and appreciate all the time you and Tuck ♥♥♥ take to show us around and name everything! It's been so helpful for me to get going again. I have a journal of information I get from your videos, and of course I Love seeing Tuck (the young king) on every episode!
What a great video, your gardens are always so inspirational and the bounty is unbelievable. I wish you would consider writing a book on your gardening journey. It is amazing what you have accomplished since starting it and with as many fans and followers as you have there is little doubt a book from yourself would sell like hotcakes.
I agree, that this year gonna be a good harvest. My fruit trees also loaded, more than ever, and the veggies develop nicely too. I have a recommendation, because I didn't see corn in your garden, that try popcorn. It is different than the sweet corn, need special corn. I grow that every year, wait until fully dry on the stem and peel all the seeds off and I pop around with it whole year. That is one of my fav crop!
James, at about 8:46: is that mustard Osaka Purple? If so, I'd grow that for the sheer beauty of it, alone. In fact, I do believe I will! Thank you for sharing this one! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Tuck!
I'm just starting to pick varieties by harvest date. I need to get some shade on my radish. Some are starting to bolt even here in zone 5. ❤❤❤TUCK❤❤❤ Your Brother does a great job making the channel photography look great 😁👍🏼🌶️💐
Thanks for sharing! We grow greens for a long harvest season also. One of our favorites is the tatsoi. Who knew? So good. Our mustards and spinach have already started to bolt. Our bok choy and lettuce are up and ready. Cabbage and broccoli have a little while to go but, beet and turnip greens are ready to go. We leave 3 leaves on each plant. I believe the roots are just starting to form. I love the multi-use, eat-the-whole plant roots. Your fruit videos encouraged me to purchase and plant currants. Keep warm Tuck!
I love your videos. I get so much information out of it. I wish I could have you come to my house and help me with my garden, but I was just laughing when you pulled that radish and I thought OK here’s something Tucker would not eat and sure as heck he’s over there eating it, I love that little guy😂😂😂😂

Should a home gardener worry about crop rotation? Or is this more a thing for comercial farmers?
