I'm so hooked on this song. The growly, overdriven bass, the chorus and then that beautiful, soft singing from Carina. That little melody itself is stuck in my head.
As far as i know, the reason he's in the dark when he plays with Tool, is because he wants the focus to be on Adam, Justin and Danny, while his voice is just there. Puscifer and APC, it seems like he wants to be a part of the show, because their concerts have much more focus on showmanship, while Tool is all based on the music and visuals.
Love this tune Their ability to layer one sweet tasteful layer of music after another is amazing talent. Maynard and Carina work soo great together and the whole mix is perfect musical recipe :)
+altouna The pre-recorded hi-hat, made evident at 2:33, is an even bigger buzz kill. I dno if it's on purpose, as in, check out these prerecorded sounds n shit, take whatever comes our way, as in Puscifer in general, a fake band to make money while Tool deals with legal shit, is the BS coming our way; granted I do love the puscifer. The rant is far-fetched, but that ghostly hi-hat strike is obvious af.
+Twelvepoint Buffalo My guess would be it's part of the pre-recorded samples they're running along with the track to make the drums sound like the recorded version.
*I don't find pre-recorded samples appealing, they defeat the purpose, as a metronome does in a drummer's ear. I don't go to live shows to hear a band recreate the record, and then judge them if they don't... I just like to witness what I'm hearing being actually performed. It's douches that demand perfection, fkn rejects they are. It's entirely possible they recorded two+ takes, blending here n there, and the editors didn't catch it. I'd fully forgive em for that...but my hope only extends as far as I can see. I'm left with a sore ass cuz they look like a buncha fakers. My instincts say it's pre-recorded in a different studio and they couldn't recreate or capture a perfect fake performance there..and I feel like an asshole for thinkin that
+Cpt. Gilbert Duke And that's a big subjective thing. It's very common with acts that have more of an electronic influence like Puscifer. You can already hear the pre-recorded vocal loops with the "Toma" refrain in the chorus. The idea of doing two plus takes and recording the first version and playing it at the same time doesn't really make sense and isn't in keeping with what a lot of bands do. In my experience (in bands I've been in and other colleagues/friends) it's usually a loop playing underneath to fill in the gaps and everyone playing to a click in the in-ears.
*I respect his wife Mila & all ... But Carina was certainly the right choice for this new project .. Saw them in 2010 & would love to see the new show*
are you kidding? Mila barely has any vocal talent. That was just something they did for fun cuz they're friends. Carina Round is an epic fucking talent.
Carina has such a consistent and cool voice... really adds a lot to the already excellent music.
I'm so hooked on this song.

Same!
Everyone should check out Maynard's back up singer Carina Round's solo music....she is amazing.
Where?
I remember watching this at work man how time flies
Awesome. That's what Creativity sounds like.
That's why Maynard and other artists such as Trent Reznor are great: they are always trying to push the boundaries of creativity.
This song is one of my favorites
Awesome! And super innovative using screens looking like huge bobble heads that rock!
Thank you! Cheers!
Maynard can't decide if he doesn't want to be seen or if he wants a framed extreme close up.

+bobomchobo Keyboardist plays a lot of the percussion sounds from a touch screen.

This performance brought to you by Bud Light. When you’re out of Coors Light and you’re not going near the Miller Light, Bud Light.

Credit to Jimmy Kimmel for playing these great, underground bands on his show.

Sounds like Tool with a Female backup singer.
No lead guitar breaks, no bass carries - this isn't tool, not even from 1995.

Love this song. However, I don't like the chick he went with for this album. He should go back to Mila
