You know I can’t find that as an option. I see rule of thirds and framing outline but that is kinda lame. I don’t know why Panasonic took away some things from the GH5.
Please do a video on correct use and settings for the S1 for shutter angle! (I mean for the menu set up)

It would be nice to know the setting as fast as possible switching between 25fps and slowmotion.
You can set C1 to any preset settings so you can save it to that mode! You can do 60p 180p whatever your heart desires

Yep! I use the bmpcc 4K at work, and I like it a lot. But Panasonic is better for my personal needs. No clunky battery system, usable autofocus, ibis, and good image
There are many settings in the video section. But all of them are already conformed to 25p/30p/24p when you finish recording. Is there any way to just record 10bit 4k60p vlog and not conforming it in the camera??? Is it the same case with external recorders also?? I saw that you can record 422 10bit 4k60p with an atomos ninja v.. but is it also conformed to 24p/25p/30p ???
Great customization tips! Where did you get the LUTs from?
You can download the V-Log LUT on there website. I use Film riots V-Log puts. Idk if it’s designed for Vlog L or the full vlog however

You should do a side biy side test with the gh5 to see if the full vlog is really that much better than vlog L

how to setup to use AF while in MF mode to tweek focus. i want to dedicate fn bottun to that AF assist.
Why does the Rec. File Format change to .MOV with the filmmaker upgrade? I use Apple products so the .MOV sounds like a good thing but that isn’t the standard. Just curious.
Hi! Is there any way to set up APS-C crop mode for photography? My Sigma 18-35 freaks out and gets these crazy bars on-screen in photo mode, but works fine in video mode.

Hi Martin! I’m able to edit the original footage with my desktop that’s fairly decent. So I don’t need to transcode. However it might be a good idea if your on a laptop

Does it have 100fps slowmo today after update? it there's possible like in a7III to set to a button on a body, to change between a fullFrame and apsc mode with one click?
Yep! You can program a button to switch between Full frame and APSC. It might take two clicks however, or you cna set C1 dial to any settings to have saved and move that in one move. As far as 100fps I am unsure. I no longer have the S1 to make sure. Hope this helps!
How to set AF C (video) to get the best results?
VIDEO FOCUS / FILM & FOTO Will do! Once I get my 24-105mm from Panasonic I can test autofocus
I have the S5 and I am setting up a custom mode for filming, because I'm also going to take photos. My Problem is that it seems like the waveform is only available in the movie mode and doesn't show up in the others. My question is, is this intentionally or just a bug in the early firmware and if it's possible to solve the problem. Thanks in advance and excuse my poor English
Hi there! Waveforms are traditionally a video exposure tool. Photography uses the histogram primarily which you’ll find in the photo settings. Hope this helps!
I really hope one day manufacturers will realize waveforms is the ultimate monitoring tool. Histograms are just too unreliable especially if you have a low-key lighting setup.

I know! Actually I think I can get by, because when I need to see myself, it’s on my UA-cam rig where I setup my monitor. We’ll see!

No, and likely won’t be. You can try to find bundles that have it included or buy a used camera with it installed

Apologies… I ended up switching to the S1H shortly then A7Siii… Fortunately the S1 has had a rather large firmware update that has improved the functionality of that camera and blurred the lines between it and the S1H!

Nate's Film Tutorials will you be doing gh5 comparison? Still on the fence about going to gh5, s1 or even s1h. Shooting xt3 right now about want a more dedicated video camera.
Sure! I sold my Gh5, but I will be able to provide a good insight on the advantages of using the S1. Gh5 is a powerful tool, if you don’t want want full frame and on a budget it’s your best option
