Another eye opener Rob and Chris these rare metals are worth sending all the way to America!!! You lads are the only people in this field of You Tube that bother to show this side of the motor trade, and it is so refreshing for me anyway, even at my age, to see how things are done, Thank you, it is a privilege that I for one enjoy.
A pikey turned up at my garage the other day and asked if we had any old cats lying around, my new apprentice turned round and said 'sorry mate were a garage not a veterinary clinic' I wet myself laughing, he's going to get on well here 😂😂
Fascinating. Didn't realise they were worth so much money. I'm a plumber, so I'm always at the scrappy with tons of copper and lead pipe, copper cylinders, etc. Quality vid, thanks.
You were driving through my neck of the woods 😁 thats good to know that emr buy that stuff for more money. I scrapped 8 car batteries at a local scrapyard and got £70 for them after being offered £4 each by the local scrap man. Does make you wonder how much they were really worth. Very informative and useful video that will definitely be handy for future car projects
It's official mate, UA-cam have just announced that you've reached 60,000 Subscribers! Congratulations on your achievement! Just keep on keeping on, and you can be sure that your channel will go from strength to strength. Well done Rob!
Yeah. But ways to beat these toerags include never parking on a dodgy street, or running a whip with very low ground clearance (Citroen XM?), or using a car with underbody cover panels which make the cats impossible to get at unless the motor is up on a lift.
Andy Chris fantastic insight into something I've not seen before and astonishing what you can get for these cats and the amount I must've wasted over the years... once again great content on the business side 👍👍👍
You just let the cat out of the bag Rob, another secrect leaked to us novices. Great video, great to share your journey and keep doing what you do best, sharing videos!
That was really fasinating , I knew cats were expensive but didn't realise it was due to the metals in the comb. This channel is better than Open University
haha £50. cheeky sods or what... this is a great video buddy! and shows us how not to be totally scammed by these buyers for parts.... good work man! loving the different type videos, every penny helps! really great advice mate
I used to go down to EMR every couple months with all the metal I'd collected and they have always given the best price on all metals..another brilliant video mate.,thank you👍😁🍻

I deal with EMR [Euro Metal Recycling] they always give you the better price and are legit and within the law. That first 'Scrappy' would have taken them to EMR and made £289 on them, no work involved because you have done the work for them. Good video.
Loved that little video rob! Nice to see what happens to these and why they see to get stolen quite a lot! Very insightful! Any way see you in the next one...
Superb content Rob - just shows you that people would just bin the old cats and not to accept the first offer as it was way off the accurate value from the proper guys !!! Where there’s muck there’s brass, Ian On a separate note you may or may not know about PowerfulUK who are an independent Land Rover Specialist that manufacture a lot of there own parts and they are on her and on eBay - they post hints and tips if your stuck with something, I personally have used them over the years for my Range Rover- worth a look
Very interesting rob , thats a process I didn't know about ,thanks for sharing, Great to see you showing the different things that go on with cars and parts . All the best
Interesting video, something different to mix things up. Can't beat a trip to the scrappers, I always get excited waiting for the ticket to see how much I've got.
Cracking bit of information mate thank you very much scrapped 07 check to the breakers and only charge £270 for it he told me the cats were shit you live and learn thanks very much👌👍👍
Joseph McCullough thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the video I know it’s a little different to normal me and Chris are a team I always treat him well and with respect 🍻👍
Interesting video. A note to guys thinking of weighing Cats in, they need to be OE original manufacturers Cats to be worth anything substantial, the aftermarket ones are worth naff all as they are inferior & the recycling companies dont want them. Nice varied feature for the channel Rob :-)
I didn't realise there would be so much difference in the value of each cat. It's a very quick and worthwhile cash turnaround for people like ourselves considering they are shipped abroad and processed after we've got decent money for them.
You learn something new ever day. I knew that the precious metals were worth a few bob, but I never knew they were worth that much! Thanks for that Rob, really enjoyed that video.
