Very fun patterns. I actually got the yarn for the100% that witch sweater but haven’t started yet lol I’m finishing up the embrace octopus sweater for my kiddo first. Appreciate the pattern suggestions! I really like the spider one too but I, also don’t care for the actual critters. But still a super cool design.
I guess I don't understand why you don't knit up that "Creepy spider" sweater in a fun color and without the spider bobbles. If you print out the pattern, just cut the photo out of the paper pattern...
I'm a beginner knitter. If i decide to tackle a bigger project, i saw so many sweaters and the socks that I want to make. I guess i want to try making the socks.
If you love Halloween (me too!), then you might check out the 2023 Tellybean Knits Haunted House MKAL. It's a shawl-shaped cowl with really fun colorwork spooky season motifs. I just finished it (for my daughter's birthday) and am using the leftover yarn to make her a pair of socks to go with it. I usually kinda balk at doing colorwork like this, but omg it was just so much fun that I couldn't wait to find time each day to work on it. I'm still stunned that I actually finished it within the timeframe the MKAL was going on. :)
I love all of these patterns! I have never knitted a jumper/sweater because I’m not at that stage yet but I admire all the work that goes into them. One day in the distant future I will make one and treasure it 💕
It’s really so fun and a lot easier than you would think!!! Knitting a sweater is definitely daunting because it’s such a large project, but I believe in you!!
@@smitten.knitten thank you for your words of encouragement. I’m only really used to knitting scarves and egg cosies but I’ve recently been learning new techniques and building on my skills. Right now I am knitting my first ever baby cardigan and really enjoying the process, so hopefully if I manage it I can go bigger and make a sweater sometime. I also need to get the hang of intarsia! I’d love it if I can do it, it’s my goal. ☺️ Would you personally recommend knitting a sweater on straights or circulars or a combination of the two? Thank you! 💕
@Lee-vm4yc I prefer knitting sweaters in the round, it’s really nice not having to purl! But a patch work sweater is also really great for beginners since it’s just a bunch of squares you have to sew together! I prefer knitting everything with circular needles, though, it feels better for my wrists ◡̈
@@smitten.knitten Thank you so much for your help. I’m going to take your advice and find a patch work sweater to try, it sounds like a good place to start. I’m am just getting used to using circulars so it will be a challenge all round. Also gives me an excuse to buy better circulars too as I have bamboos I was practicing with, changed all my straights to steel and now I’d like metal circulars too as I am left-handed and knit quite tightly bamboo circulars don’t work too well for me. So…New needles and a new project is on the cards. Thanks again for your time. 😃💕
Also illusion knitting is a bit confusing to get your head around but the results are totally worth it! Simply put it's manipulating knits and purls so that the purl bumps of your contrast colour are only visible from the side of the piece. If it's your first time illusion knitting I highly recommend following a pattern rather than designing your own as working in ridges rather than rows takes some getting used to x

I have say it. I agree, bats are awesome, but so are spiders. After all spiders eat flies and I despise flies!
I love how important they are to the ecosystem and all the mosquitos they take care of, but the legs and the eyes just give me the heebie jeebies!!!!

Socks would be a great place to start learning color work! Maybe try knitting a plain pair of socks before you tackle color work socks?
@smitten.knitten That's a good point. A solid color pair of socks is a good place to start.
Get the spider sweater pattern, learn how the spiders are made, then adapt that process to cats or bats.
