People, just got the developer of the drivers telling me that the 2 FPS problem might be due to FRTC or Radeon CHill putting the FPS to 2!
Now that I remember, the drivers did put my FPS locked to 70 (via FRTC) in the drivers and I had to disable it as well.

Hey bro, too many comments for your great video and you didn't saw mine so I will ask you again - I play Apex Legends, on rx580 4GB card + 32 inch monitor playing on 1440p, with around 118 fps.If I install those drivers, should I make INGAME resolution to 1080p and count on the HYPR-RX feature to actually work, keeping me upscaled to 1440p decent looking visuals, but better fps than before? Is it working like that and Is it worth it in my case?

When moders are able to optimize your drivers even more, and get features working on older cards, its time to just put them on the payroll and then make it officials, and then market how great your drivers are.
It's crazy that it takes modders to accomplish something that should be available on the card already. Billion dollar company still needs modders for its cards to perform properly. Not right.
If theyre not modders, they'll be chained to company rules, so...

More likely it's probably not been enabled on the older cards in official drivers yet due to lack of thorough testing or possible bugs
Its not incompetence they keep features out on purpose to make you upgrade your older gen card

RSR is decent, similar to FSR1, but if AMD keeps their promise and if FSR3 is really usable in any directx game, these modded drivers will really help out people with older cards a lot

@@AncientGameplays yeah I agree FSR1/RSR is pretty bad, but will FSR 3 remain great/better than FSR 2 and still work in all games?
FSR 1.0 is still used with SteamOS and its clone distros and its a really nice feature to keep around because of it. kernal level fsr helps push a constant 60 in a lot of game with the steamdeck especially.
FSR3 is different from AFMF (AMD Fluid Motion Frames), the "optical flow technology" (frame generation), which will be added to the driver software suite for use in DX11/DX12 games.
FSR3 uses an implementation of AFMF with motion vectors implemented by the game developer and will (should) look better.
They're using Nvidia's naming scheme where the "3" just means frame-gen.
FSR3 will use the same (but updated) temporal upscaling from FSR2.
Its not FSR3 that works in all games, but rather a driver version of framegen. It will probably look a lot worse than in game FSR3, as it will lack motion vectors and will be after the 2D HUD, like RSR, meaning it will cause ghosting and artifacts on static elements, as with early NVIDIA DLSS3.0@@bamboostick5

This shows how shady these companies can be. They purposely locked out Rdna 2 cards and older on purpose to force people to Rdna 3.
Same shit asses as Nvidia and rdna 3 as same garbage as rdna 2 or even worse in consumption in cases with rx 7600&7700xt which eats more power then rx 6650xt or rx 6800 while nor be faster

Well, just wait on november until their representative (amd-id) release the radeon id driver
For Hypr-RX to work Adrenaline features like Chill need testing with others in combination, in the past the major features were mutually exclusive.
So for example driver upscaling (RSR) an older game meant using V-sync to limit frames not Chill.
So it's possible that will be enabled before the magic button to intelligently increase fps for a game is ready.
As for using a mod to find the bugs in non-QA tested drivers, well I have better things to do.
why would you not try it? It is completely legit and safe. Amernimez modded driver is now recognized by AMD Indonesia, AMD Indonesian representatives tagged it as “Community Drivers”. I've been using Amernimez ever since, and the man behind these modded drivers is really a hero.

Well, as they (amernime zone) meets official amd indonesia representative this month, october 2023 is the last amernime zone branding. So in November 2023, you'll see they part of Official AMD-ID Community Driver Distribution instead of amernime zone modded driver. They have 1 month left deadline for finishing final driver with Radeon-ID branding.

I’m glad that tweaked drivers are back. They used to be a staple point of all gamers. Omega optimized drivers, for instance, as well as Tweak Force. They lasted about a decade, finally dying out around 2010/ 2013. I think because ATI and Nvidia were clamping down on their driver security. I remember playing Far Cry 1 on tweaked image quality drivers and it looked stunning crisp and sharp with maxed out filtering and LOD. Of course, you could get the performance drivers instead.

Honestly I just hope they can mod fsr 3 easily into older games. Because even with fsr 2.0 2.1 and 2.2 their are complaints about the quality. I want to see future fsr technologies to get better since games don't look like they won't work without upscaler on older cards. I would love for dead space to work flawlessly with fluid motion. I doubt that will happen since it seems to be rendering issue with engine or denuvo causing stutters.
Frame gen won't make new games playable on old GPUs, they're demo-ing it as a way to go from 60 fps to 120 fps to use monitors better.
Think about it film shot at 24fps is more prone to motion flicker than so called "buttery smooth" 60 fps animation. So like extreme upscaling looks blurry, you need a base quality to improve on to pass muster.
The other issue is the AMD FM uses async compute which may be saturated already by the game.
I'd appreciate comparison in few games with the hypr-rx on 6600 or 6700 vs none.
that wouldn't make any sense as the performance would be roughly the same as when using RSR alone, you wold only have anti-lag and boost at the same time (boost only works with movement)
@@AncientGameplaysisn't boost kinda bad actually? Every time I tried it it just felt like it's making the game fps more unstable. Much better to just lock fps at some achievable value than this gimmick.
@@damara2268tbh I've found using enhanced sync makes my frame times way smoother, if you use a 60hz panel turning vsync on also makes it stop screen tearing with a solid 16.67 ms response time

Just a heads up. I tried the drivers out. Enabled the Hypr-RX setting 2, and had issues immediately with Netflix video playback. Same issues that were around in some previous versions of Radeon drivers. The last few releases have been good, so I'm not sure what version they used for these modded drivers, but after doing another DDU clean and reinstalling the current driver package back, it went away. Other people's mileage may vary, and you may not necessarily want to watch Netflix anyway, so you'll enjoy the game experience.

Same thing happened to me on my 6750xt after doing hyper rx 2 it made re4 remake unplayable and had to use DDU to remove it and revert back to original drivers but now even those don’t feel right

Amernime drivers never dissappoint
People saying they lock this out to get you to buy newer cards are missing the big picture. They rushed this release because they promised Q3. FSR3 is heavily delayed - they don't have the man power to test and actively support a million cards. So they lock it out specifically for older cards until they can confirm it works well. If they commit to officiall support for it, they have to investigate every report of bugs on older hardware. They legally have to fix/give support or they could eat law suits for false advertisement or non-working products.

A friend installed this on his 2600g APU and he went to playing Vermintide 2 on 720p Low to 990p on High, 60 FPS with occasional frame drops on hordes.
I did on my RX 6600, and can run everything on Ultra on 990p, 60 FPS capped with no drops whatsoever. My CPU is an old 4770, i could run this game on ultra without Hypr-RX if i had a better processor, but the game is running extremely well regardless, is beautiful to look at AND it's really good on the FPS side.
So, even for a RX 6600 it can make wonders, depending on the user rig. Abraços Fabio!
I really appreciate this video. Since its so simple, I don't mind having to go back to the console. Going to try this on my 6700xt Red Devil. If the image quality on FSR 3 competes well with DLSS, then I'll stay on team red.
Dlss is only noticeably better in 1080p , if you still play in 1080p, a new monitor or gaming tv is a better upgrade than an nvidia gpu.
Unfortunately dlss is far better with 1080p and 1440p and noticeably better on 4k. I hope fsr3 will catch dlss.

@Xilent1 I upgraded to a 5800x 3d recently, it's the best upgrade you can do room an older ryzen cpu, I upgraded from a ryzen 1700 zen 1 cpu. It literally gives ryzen 7700x gaming performance on an am4 motherboard

If you think AMD couldn't have made these drivers work for older gpu's and they need modders to help them out, you're a really special person. Having hypr rx only work for 7000 gpu's is one of the only selling points they have for the new gpu's. It amazes me sometimes how "different" some people think

A vote for the step by step. Lots of options to choose. Not sure if it's card dependent it not. I'm running an rx 6800
FYI, my HYPR-RX Overider had two options not shown in the video. HYPR-RX mode 1 and HYPR-RX mode 2. Both produced slide shoes for games. The Eco Sports Gming worked as expected. Not sure what the exact diffs are.
Mine 6950XT did the same thing in Starfield on HYPR-RX mode 1. Will check the Exo this afternoon
same on 6800xt. Both options unplayable for me.
@@NikoNOJ Looks like its probably the Frame Rate target control: FRTC Pro, is turned on but with a very low value. I cannot reproduce, but Mode 1 and 2 are the same as the other presets below them, but with no preset values. Just the toggles flipped.

HEY GUYS... make sure to use DDU to uninstall previous drivers. otherwise you will have the 2 FPS problem. Another fix is to try one of the other optional Hyper-RX modes such as the Esports Gaming mode
To install the AMD Radeon Software press 2 in the menu where youre supposed to select the HYPER-RX override. (if that doesnt work try the other software choices but that worked for me.
I did and I still had the 2fps issue. Ran through the process again and it cleared. Odd.

I think it is still lacking improvements because I feel that it worsens the performance far from improving.
Also it seems that the only advantage of Hyper RX is that now you can use the tools at the same time, but the R Chill does not make much sense in an RX 580 that barely achieves 40 to 50 fps in current games.
I had been excited because I thought it enabled the RSR option for the RX 580, but it does not.

no sense as Hypr.RX is basically RSR in terms of perf boost, RSR+Boost. Explained it in my Hypr RX video

If you make a profile of a Game = add the Game in the Adrenalin Software and use a slider than is only the Game ( Hypr X ) broken not the general ( Hypr X ) Profile , delete the Game Profile and add the Game again and HyprX is again active ( i have a 6800 XT ) . With a Game Profile you can use other Settings as the HYPR X mod suggest , it breaks the Hypr X mod , but only for that Game , not all .
So basically Hypr-rx will be active globally but you can disable it for games you don't want it on?

Yes, if you make a Game profile which is automatically made if you add a Game to the Adrenalin Software it has Hypr X enabled , in the Game Profile you can choose if you want to Use HYPR X or not by enable / disable Options , besides you can choose an different OC or undervolt Profile as the general one as well which is used only for that Game . The only difficult thing is sometimes to find the Game exe which starts the Game .

Thanks for the head's up as always AG! I installed the previous 23.9.1 following Amermine's previous video to install it - all good until you made this video (haha!).
Hyper RX works like a charm on my RX 6700 XT. Even on Starfield I've noticed better frame stability especially in busy areas and smoother 60 FPS during planet exploration and combat.
So the trick is to always leave alone and never touch the presets set by the Amernime setup (they've included more presets now 4 on your video to now 8 presets), these guys work real hard. If accidentally changed then you need to go back to the Amernime Setup to change the preset again.

Interesting what moders can do and AMD not. I think AMD can bring these drivers for the older gen cards right now but they don't do it, because they want to sell more of the new 7000 cards.
I think mooders are same company or else they can make windows to not allow it to be installed so its experimental department maybe

Hey! saludos desde Argentina. seguí cada paso del tutorial y funciono muy bien en mi Rx6700xt. HyprX al completo. Al ver en Amd que estaba la version 23.9.2, desinstale el 23.9.1 y el mod por el actual. Ahora no tengo el HyprX pero en Cyberpunk 2077, este driver funciona muy bien tambien!
Espero que hagas un video donde se pueda hacer un mod en esta nueva version 23.9.2, si es que llega a salir. Como decimos aca: Un abrazo grande pibe!

Woah, another thing that could be supported all along but AMD (Nvidia is guilty as well) chose not to for their shady marketing tactics to force consumers to purchase the latest bleeding edge hardware? Weird!

It's gross, especially considering how until very recently 6000 series was your only option for a mid range amd card
'it cant be done on older gpus' is so bullshit for amd their tech never changes & theyre just locking it to newer gpus to try to compete artificially with nvidia.
We need a video how to properly install this. Its first time i ever find out that this drivers exists. Please Fabio. Do video :)

Excelent video, althought one part of the installation is missing in the tutorial. Several options are available after you choose Microsoft
So I took some time to learn all the options. I gotta say the frames are alot smoother\stable for me. I had a few teething problems to work out, but I got it working 100%. I'm pleased that a few games did actually gain some frames.
