Most definitely agree about window nets and winches. I have a 2017 Ranger and use the daylights out of it for hunting/trapping and general farm use. First thing I do is remove those stupid nets!!!
Your right....they are pricing their self out of the market, especially for people with less money to spend, but they are not the only ones, they all are doing it,
We just sold our 3 seat 21 XP 1000 with ride command , full cab, bumpers, heat , headache rack, and much more. I'll be picking up a new UForce 1000 XL soon.

Hey guys, I been watching yall for more than a decade and don't think I ever missed an episode. I do truly value the honest nonbiased reviews and information that's presented. Dirt Trax always ask about information we would like to see, to review or talk about. Well, I been wanting to comment but waiting for something to hit me. I really enjoyed a couple years back when yall did the old school can am mud build. Maybe yall can do another one with like and old Honda or maybe even do a resto mod on an 80's three-wheeler would be awesome!!! Thanks again guys keep it up!!

Thanks for the review, like 2Vintage channel, always a learning experience. I am from Polaris country (Minnesota) and have been thinking between a new Ranger or a Japanese mini-truck, so I'd have a heated cab for my delicate (old) body.

I have been wondering about winch and also doors for a while now. It would just be practical for it to be installed at the factory. It would add a extra step at the factory.
I fully agree with him about the winch and side door net's. Those nets would do nothing in case of a roll over crash. My 2019 Polaris XP1000esp did not come with a winch either.

Great review. I love the enthusiasm. Even if your not a Polaris fan how good of a utility machine is comes through. I think the Pioneer hauls 1K in the bed & tows 2500lb also and it comes with half doors. 😂

I'm looking at upgrading from my 2012 RZR 800 to either a Ranger XP or General XP4. Will mostly be used for National Forest Service Trails. My parents have the Ride Command in their RZR and man that is an great option! Just torn on which to get. That big box would work good for hauling my nephews Honda CRF 50 or Polaris ATV 50 in the back. That way when he gets tired of riding or we get tired of going 5 mph we have a place to put it.
Ranger's a nice machine and the General is the perfect crossover between RZR and Ranger. Can't go wrong with either on these.

cfmoto uforce 1000 seems to be giving Polaris a run for their money at this point. The uforce comes with a winch, roof and is significantly less. Full cab doors are less, optional heater kits, even heated seats. The only thing the ranger seems to have is more options like ac but how many average joes spring for a Northstar?? These videos are swinging me to get a cfmoto for my wife at this point, she's looking for a utility machine to get around in since my KRX is a bit sporty for what she does with them.
My 2019 defender xtp has all that ranger has plus. Fox shocks rear view mirror l, roof and winch stock.
Defender is a great machine.

I wish you guys could keep these polaris machines for 3 to 4 years and then you would think alot different of them when you need to put thousand of dollars into them to just keep them going. Been down that road will never own another one.
Strange my 18 xp1000 has over 8000km and I just put gas in it and drive it. Still on factory belt. Oil change every 75hr.

How about the differences between the renegade 650 and the renegade 1000xxc? Big price difference, can't decide which one I want
The 650 renegade dont have power steering. I dont think a guy may need it if ur just trail riding, but may want power steering if ur gonna ride slow rocky trails or deep mud. But they make mud machines for that. I like the 650 twin. We have a 2019 outlander 650xt, and sold a 2016 outlander 650 xt to my son cause he needed a good atv. Neither have any issues. I am tossing around the idea of getting one for trail riding. I am 54 and still like a spirted ride that dont break the bank.

When you guys reviewed the Rmax you made a comment about how it still felt new after many miles compared to the General... Rangers are really no different so would you really put your own money on one over the competition?
I have one with 8000km its 2018 xp full cab and there just now a random squeak I can't find that you can barely hear under 10kmh. Still on factory belt. I'll be buying a Polaris again.

Do a SXS comparison with the Ranger XP 1000 and the Kawasaki Mule Pro FXR . The FXR doesn't have the drivers adjustable seat and the hp of the Ranger. But it has 1000# bed and can tow 2000# and comes standard with aluminum wheels front and rear bumpers halogen and LED headlights painted hood plastic roof headache rack AND half doors all standard and A3 year warranty. It has a smooth inline 3 cylinder engine 4 valves per cylinder an double overhead cams all for thousands of dollars less than the Ranger.
These only come in about 4 colors. They only have a heat option, no cooling.
Totally agree especially on their top of line Ranger why do they keep putting those cheap crappy junk nets that everyone hates.

For half what polaris cost,I put back window upper door and a heater in for pennies and I go everywhere where my friend is going with his razor 1000,crazy eh

I'm not saying you don't get what you want/need out of your cub cadet, but let's be honest. It can't do what this does. If fact it can't even do cub cadet, it's just a rebranded hisun.
If it works for you, that's great. But we don't need to pretend it can hold its own against a 1000XP

I can pull a fifteen hundred pound trailer from my front as well as my back, I overload the Box with firewood That was not even funny that much.
I don't need to mount an extra bracket for the click two snowplow system as it is already on standard.
Also have front end rear differential lock.
It's road worthy as I have indicators standard and a horn standard.
It may be a Chinese brand. But it does old work are really throw at it and I'm in the Bush. Doing firewood hauling logs for sawmill and occasionally. Writing in the Bush with some friends.

Don't get me wrong. It's a nice side-by-side but Polaris is way like way overpriced.
@@dutchman2506 clearance, power, speed, dealer network, long term part availability, for every farm brand unit sold, powersports brands sell 100 units. Which means the powertrains and little things get addressed over time. Farm brands don't sell enough units to engineer fixes for things. Especially the little ones.
and pricing, people often think the big guys are pricier, but the sales people and the website push upgrades like mad. So $ for $ you will get more capability in all areas than going with a farm brand. HP wise, yours not close. CC's are not a good measure because 700 isn't a direct comparison to another 700. But HP a 700 can be anywhere from 43-50HP. Which is a huge difference, almost 9%.the perfect example is the AC 700 is 43HP, the Can-Am 650 62HP, but going by CC's you wouldn't think that the Can-Am has almost 50% more power.
Like I said, it may do everything you want it to do, and that's what important to each buyer, but all of the farming brands SxS's aren't as capable as a whole. That goes for JD, Kuboto, etc.

I had 2023 range XP1000 ultimate. Very uncomfortable seats. Rattly on rough roads. It got very dusty inside on dirt roads and leaked like a sieve in a bit of water. Nearly impossible to reach the oil filter. Paid a lot of money for this lemon. Not satisfied. Got rid of it. Looking for something else. Will go look at CANAMS.

No factory winch because Polaris offers different levels of a winch from factory. Different price points for each persons wants/needs. Pick your platform and put it together however the customer wants. Have it your way!
Who tows 2500 lbs with your SXS? Happens without even thinking about it! My RMAX 2, fully loaded and with two pax weighs in at 2620 lbs. If you are recovering one of your buddies from the trail- boom! Bob's your Uncle!
Lol. Very few need a winch. It's really a waste of money for most, hence the reason it's not standard.

Definitely not the king , the can am defender hd10 has the exact same bed and towing capacity and looks way better plus the XT model which is equivalent to the premium comes with a winch and a 2” receiver hitch Polaris is junk
Hay Dirt Trax great video as a person heading into Retirment I am looking for a UTV. to help my son in law, He likes the CF moto , I like Honda , You like polaris < can Am not so much , I enjouyed this video but. a comparison of can am defender , Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, cf moto, and Kawasaki mule, would be awesome . Mid to lower range models. Great job guys keep up the good work.
