(The stock Durango beats a stock C8 corvette ) Yeah if you’re reaction time is .05 -.07 slower off the line then a Durango otherwise the C8 beats it 10 times out of 10 in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile I’ve seen these two vehicles race before and the C8 won three of three races by 2 car lengths!
As it should but either way it’s still very impressive when your comparing a sports car to an SUV lol. Makes the sport car look slow

If it had all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive it would be understandable for it to beat any 2wd car off the line. How long it stays ahead depends on its top end speed.

The C8 stock 0-60 time is 2.9 seconds. This means that the way the 4000 plus pound Durango is dusting the c8 off the line means its o-60 time is waaay faster than 2.9 seconds? I call B.S.
This C8 driver never even got close to 2.9s in this video.

I've been watching the c8 race in a lot of videos across youtube, either they had an inexperienced driver, or he was told/paid for that slow ass takeoff
they don't use launch control. and the difference it makes is absurd, 2.9 - 3.0 with the LC active and 3.6 without the LC

What they need is the All Wheel drive system in the Challenger Hellcat so it can finally get off the line, and then its really Game Over!
Yes, put an AWD system on a boat that already weighs the same as a full size pick up truck as a rwd coupe
The Hellcat Durango weighs in at almost 3 tons so I don't think they're worried about weight. Plus they already have AWD systems in certain models of the Challenger and the Charger already anyway. Doesn't seem that far-fetched to me.

There are already awd systems. The issue is the weight of th awd does not benefit the car until 1500 hp.

It has different gearing than the track hawk. It's faster than a track hawk by a car length almost. It's faster than a urus aswell. Check out throttle house. They raced a Durango trackhawk and a urus

This is widely known fact that AWD is better at launching.
@@VanquishedAgain Weight distribution and wider tires will close the gap from different drivetrains. Also, all industry 0-60 times are with a 1 foot rollout, and the C8 has gotten faster than 2.8 with a 1 foot rollout anyway. They probably babied it in the C8 to hype up the Durango.
TL;DR: the guy driving the Vette was slow, intentional or not.

Sak 20012019 Doesn’t mean the durango is faster, just means it got an early start, better patch of road etc. The trackhawk is lighter and more track orientated and faster.

Why do you guys never put the c8 in launch mode? Are you guys trying to twist the results?
Kind of like when they put aftermarket sticky tires on the c8 and left the oem tires on the c7 when they matched them up. The c8 was actually only marginally better in that test with the advantage. They definitely tend to skew the results a little at times. Lol
I'm an average driver, and with LAUNCH CONTROL, even I could have beat that Durango (which I also own and LOVE) hands down with my C8 Z51.

Because the durango weighs 5700 pounds and the corvette weighs 3300 pounds. That's a huge power to weight ratio difference.

Neither used launch control though? Obviously the comparison isn’t apples to apples, they’re just trying to show you how much of a beast the Durango is for what IT IS. A huge SUV that can hang with a super car. There isn’t to many family cars that can give a c8 a run for its money that come with the power the Durango has straight from the factory with bumper to bumper warranty.

According to Zero to 60 website 2021 Hellcat Durango does 12 seconds in 1/4 mile and 3.6 in 0-60. Vett does 11.2 and 2.8. So why are you guys so off?

Temp, pressure, tire pressure, humidity, even elevation above sea level but yeah this guy almost purposefully left a half seconds later.

This is an awesome video and having fun but just curious did that see Corvette actually end up going to the break-in period where it allows more RPMs if so then yeah I whooped his butt if not I'm curious if it would still beat it after that break in. Because the computer actually limits the engine until then and no one knew this till it happen
