Cool build. Will you have some timing control to be able to pull some at torque peak and help it live? Super curious to see how durable it is, how long it’ll hold up to the abuse.
It's a hydraulic roller so no break in is necessary. I build engines for a living man. A simple idle isn't going to kill a flat tappet either but they do need broke in with good oil
I have before me a Stock Block. Also a Scat 9000 44 lb crank/stock gm forged rods. Or... a 4340 Trick Flow 50 lb Crank /Forged rods. I can't decide which way to go. I'm only aiming for 600 supercharged horses. Either combo can handle it. You don't make my decisions any easier !
I just started watching your channel and i just subscribe. I would like to see if you can help me answer some questions. I purchased a 383 blue print engine making about 435 crank how can make more power what can you recommend? Keep up the good videos
You're the man thanks man with the fuel injection probably be beneficial to lean towards 112 or 114 ! That's got a nice sound tho I have the flowtech forward headers and build my own crossover pipe ! Just doing single GT45 on all forged -24 CC old slugs trw 4-bolt not looking to get crazy horsepower. I would be more than satisfied with 550-650hp in a 1983 Olds Cutlass! But thanks for the content and information 🙏✌️✌️✌️
"ME LIKEY",!!!!!!!! 👍

Not as of right now. I'm not currently running any msd or anything to control it.
I do hope that you had already broke in the camshaft and lifters at 2000 RPM before letting the motor idle. If not you will be rebuilding it again. 😮

Not a flat tappet motor at the rpm it’ll need for 800hp..
That's very cool. That's almost what my new 632 makes on pump gas.
Hell yeah 👍
😊😊👍
Sounds good "congrats"!!! What size of headers you running?
Thanks man. Still needs adjusting. That was just the first start up. : The
Primary Diameter: 1-3/4 in.
Collector Diameter: 2-1/2 in.

My last build I did scat crank and eagle rods and never worried about it. Gives you a little piece of mind lol

A little head work and intake porting. Bigger valves. Purpose built carb. All will help
Thanks! I appreciate it I'll have to look into some performance heads.
@@eag1990 afr 220s with a good camshaft will get you 550hp 👌
I would probably build an engine just to have a reason to get that running stand!
I sell the engine run stands cheap man!
Do you sell motors
I have a few engines for sale. We build them to suit as well
That's about what my sbe 351w makes on 12 lbs
That's pretty damn good
@@superiorracingchannel3368 thank you I wish you the best of luck on your build 👍
@brawler3475.0 thanks brother 👍
This the same cam 230-570 lift or are you using a different camshaft with the other aluminum heads your putting on ?
Same camshaft, just changed the heads and back over to hydraulic lifters
Thanks man do you know LSA? On that cam? If not I appreciate you answering
