  • This 15 minute yoga to wake up is for someone looking for a gentle yoga practice. It would also be suitable for someone with a bit of arthritis. As always, listen to your body. Always move within a pain-free range, take a break whenever you need it, and breathe fully.

    There was a point where I started my day with this routine every day for a couple years. Fell off the wagon and this single video is the door to getting back into it. My favorite yoga video ever 🎉

    I have not tried Yoga since recovering from a Brain tumor, and obesity. I am now back on the Fitness track and found you through happenstance. You are so easy to follow. I tried a few different instructors, but you left me feeling relaxed, and balanced. So much so that I went through more and more videos so that as my ability increases I can continue with you! Thank you!

    Can't wait to try this tomorrow! I have a hard time waking up in the morning so I like to do a mild routine with a video (because my mind isn't awake enough to have a good routine flow) to awaken my body and prep it for a yoga or pilates workout later in the day. This is wonderful!

    Candace, again, enjoyed the simple narrated (not speaking-as-you-show) demonstration, the minimalist background (no flowers, vases, pictures, pets walking by). I also appreciated the great remedy to wrist issues (I have three cysts in my wrist that need aspirating soon) demonstrated in 9:30: truly helped a lot with achieving that pose. Thanks for the helpful demonstrations.

    Hell yes just what I needed. I think for all of the people saying it’s too fast paced, that’s why it is a morning wake up routine. To get the blood flowing and the body moving and ready for the day! I personally loved this! Ready for work now! 💜

    I really enjoyed this - I did it right after my morning coffee. Today is Monday and a nice yoga routine is exactly what I needed. I feel like my body is ready to go now. This routine has some nice back, chest, arm, and leg stretches - but not too much.

    Thanks! You included a few poses that I haven't seen very often, which was helpful. The breathing was a little faster than I do with most yoga routines, and I would have liked to hold most of the poses just a few seconds longer. I'll still come back to reference these poses again and take it at my own pace. Great way to start my day!

      +Mary White Hi Mary! The breathing was faster because it's meant to be a warm up to the day - almost like a step down from traditional vinyasa. Holding poses longer is a style of yoga called Hatha yoga, so if you're interested in that, I suggest searching for a hatha yoga class to find what you'd like. Hope that helps!!

    Nice to see this mild yoga class. Yoga is not a physical exercise it is an art to combine your mind with your soul. While doing a yoga it is always to be remembered and practised by the control of breath and concentration at particular body parts.

    It was a chilly morning (yay!) and this warmed me up without over-exertion before coffee. I rarely do much before coffee and this was wonderful - gentle, yet awakening to the body. I ended with hands at heart, (since the ending was a bit abrupt). Thanks Candace!!

    Hi Candace, thank you for making me try yoga. I've watched, read, listened to so many videos, stories and books about it but never had the desire to try it. This session or work out or whatever it is called is amazing. I am not a morning person so I will probably do it in the afternoons but I hope it still counts :) It is simply amazing and not hard at all (or at least I have this thing in my head that yoga is very hard and only for people with no bones). Thank you again :o)
