Another news agency reported that the male victim, Ethan was found on the 2nd floor by himself. This implies that the 3 female victims were found on the 1st floor. It is possible that the 2 other roommates who discovered the crime scene shared a room and were in that room together, asleep when the attack occurred. Maybe they woke up at 11 in the morning and discovered the scene and called police at that time. But the other news agency said that Ethan bled out so much that the blood ran towards the wall and permeated it. The official basically said that all of the victims bled out. So I wonder if their throats were cut. Because if they were stabbed any other way they probably could've gotten to a phone to call for help. But a cut to one's jugular vein will incapacitate someone rather quickly. The official said it was the bloodiest scene he has ever seen in 30 years. But the fact that the other 2 roommates heard nothing alarming during the attack suggests that it was an acquaintance that did this. Plus nothing was stolen so it wasn't a robbery.
I was a Homicide detective for 11 years and was surprised they didn’t report the suspect was outstanding right away. When first reported I would have bet murder/suicide. Crazy times. Being a small department it’s good the FBI is assisting. Phone evidence will be key! Very sad.
This House could have 10 bedrooms for all we know. they rent to students. Student housing generates big monthly rents/profits. kids love living with lots of party friends. it's what kids do. I know because I was a kid once believe it or not and I remember.

What’s so troubling about this case is the WHY. Like even if it was a crime of passion or an altercation or a domestic disturbance for whatever conflict they got into ….. most people wouldn’t for one stab someone although that does happen sometimes but it’s usually a person on person crime and in the heat of the moment. Now to stab FOUR people in the same night….. seemingly sweet kids who have lots of friends and family that adore them in a safe area…. I just cannot wrap my head around how they could justify wanting to take all of their lives together. To stab one person is horrific but do it in a mass murder type of way …. Like what did young college students do to warrant that!! Even if it’s a psycho ex or stalker Iike ….the target would be attacked and then they would try to flee when they came to not make an even bigger scene or have even more murders to face when they are caught. This incident reminds me of the time during the 1970s when Ted Bundy, a serial killer, ran circles around law enforcement agencies until he was finally caught in Florida where he killed several students at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Does history repeat itself? I suppose the impossible can repeat itself just like Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Hopefully, this incident is only an isolated event and not a national nightmare that occurred in the 1970s.
It would be weird if the killer took out four people believing there were only 4 people living in the house. And one of the 4 was sleeping over so the killer assumed the bedroom where the 2 girls were sleeping was his. It reminds me of richard speck and his surviving victim. He lost count.

Kaylee is back in town and the person she was dating a few times hears that she is back in town and just shows up hoping to party. If she dated this person a few or more times, then the group KNOWS HIM, and is familiar with him, they just let him come in like plenty of times before. He could even be talking with her as all the others go to bed. Alot of people you can just become at ease with in a year of college partying and dating, w/o really knowing them. She tells him she's getting back with ex bf, he rage snaps and kills her, now he has to kill Maddie, Ethan and Xana because they already know he was there in the house. He's already IN the house so there is no forced entry, the dog knows him so thats not a problem, i assume they were all drinking so they all probably crashed pretty fast ... the two sleeping down stairs never see him so he splits out the back without having to deal with them. Even if those 2 hear noises, it's not uncommon for people to be over late being loud ... I'd venture to say they probably know him too. Also, it's hunting season in ALOT of States ... plenty of knives around ... hell, he couldve been out hunting that same day with the knife still on his belt ... strolling in all macho, telling his lame azz hunting story. Hi: The Chief mentioned that there were 2 other roommates in the house all night. Not sure if they were the ones who called the cops at noon. I can't believe that they didn't hear 4 people being killed in the same house at 3 a.m. And why didn't they call right away. Why wait 9 hours. These kids bled out. This makes me think that these two had done this or know who did. They had plenty of time to clean up and get their stories straight.
Other 2 roommates were likely passed out drunk in their rooms after a night of drinking. Apparently the 911 call actually came from neither of the roommates, but from a friend of one of the victims who came to the house for a pre-planned event or something.
From personal experience, it's possible! I passed out in a "friends" tiny apartment from partying WAY too hard and woke to the police shining lights in my eyes and escorting me out of an attempted murder scene. Said friend stabbed her husband a dozen times with 3 different knives and I never heard a thing. No longer a friend and no longer drink.
Yah it is possible no one heard anything. Yet Both survived untouched? Well I’m glad. And as mischievous as I will like not to judge but yah is time for me to agree and say it. Those two know more than we think!
I studied the photos of the house a little more and it looks like the top floor or 3rd level is where the sliding glass door is which may have been where they got access to the two people upstairs. Or the killer came through the 2nd floor kitchen window and killed Nathan and Xera in the bedroom next to the kitchen. It looks like there's woods behind the house which is probably where they ran through to a car.
when i see stories like this and the cops saying it was an isolated and TARGETED attack it always makes me wonder what these victims did to the person who hurt them. motive is what i usually look for, the rest is pretty simple. humans doing what humans do best.
From what I could gather the house is divided into three separate apartments one on the basement one of the first floor and went on the second floor. The murders occurred on the second floor where there is a sliding glass door out to a deck and on the first floor below. It appears to be woods behind the house where I would assume the killer used as his egress route to get to some kind of motor vehicle to drive away. I believe this is someone involved in hunting that is gutted animals in the past so that using this type of knife would not be an extreme event for them. If there are no fingerprints or DNA of his blood they may have been wearing a tyvek suit with boots and gloves which I would take a guess they're buried in those woods somewhere very deep.

Teens and young adults wake up around noon on weekends esp partying school kids so the 2 other roommates might have not even notice, they might have been drunk and passed out. There should have been screams and noise or at least broken glassware. Were there no signs of struggle? I will have to look at the position of the bodies to assess any further. It is possible that they were all killed while they slept, or perhaps the killer was extremely good with a bladed weapon and just cut them down easily. 3 girls and a young guy wont put up much of a fight.

That area of town is known to host a lot of parties and it’s likely that they were intoxicated and/or passed out

They have the evidence I am glad I do not live in Moscow Idaho. This crime has been fouled up. They are only looking for a single suspect.

Hi: The Chief mentioned that there were 2 other roommates in the house all night. Not sure if they were the ones who called the cops at noon. I can't believe that they didn't hear 4 people being killed in the same house at 3 a.m. And why didn't they call right away. Why wait 9 hours. These kids bled out. This makes me think that these two had done this or know who did. They had plenty of time to clean up and get their stories straight.
Other 2 roommates were likely passed out drunk in their rooms after a night of drinking. Apparently the 911 call actually came from neither of the roommates, but from a friend of one of the victims who came to the house for a pre-planned event or something.
From personal experience, it's possible! I passed out in a "friends" tiny apartment from partying WAY too hard and woke to the police shining lights in my eyes and escorting me out of an attempted murder scene. Said friend stabbed her husband a dozen times with 3 different knives and I never heard a thing. No longer a friend and no longer drink.
Yah it is possible no one heard anything. Yet Both survived untouched? Well I’m glad. And as mischievous as I will like not to judge but yah is time for me to agree and say it. Those two know more than we think!

I studied the photos of the house a little more and it looks like the top floor or 3rd level is where the sliding glass door is which may have been where they got access to the two people upstairs. Or the killer came through the 2nd floor kitchen window and killed Nathan and Xera in the bedroom next to the kitchen.
It looks like there's woods behind the house which is probably where they ran through to a car.
when i see stories like this and the cops saying it was an isolated and TARGETED attack it always makes me wonder what these victims did to the person who hurt them. motive is what i usually look for, the rest is pretty simple. humans doing what humans do best.

From what I could gather the house is divided into three separate apartments one on the basement one of the first floor and went on the second floor. The murders occurred on the second floor where there is a sliding glass door out to a deck and on the first floor below. It appears to be woods behind the house where I would assume the killer used as his egress route to get to some kind of motor vehicle to drive away.
I believe this is someone involved in hunting that is gutted animals in the past so that using this type of knife would not be an extreme event for them. If there are no fingerprints or DNA of his blood they may have been wearing a tyvek suit with boots and gloves which I would take a guess they're buried in those woods somewhere very deep.
Yah I though of that also but was not aware that type of suit is called that way. I think this killer is very close to the house is close to the survivors. This killer must have known the lay out to that house and where everyone was located and more…

Teens and young adults wake up around noon on weekends esp partying school kids so the 2 other roommates might have not even notice, they might have been drunk and passed out. There should have been screams and noise or at least broken glassware. Were there no signs of struggle? I will have to look at the position of the bodies to assess any further. It is possible that they were all killed while they slept, or perhaps the killer was extremely good with a bladed weapon and just cut them down easily. 3 girls and a young guy wont put up much of a fight.
