- This is my review of switching from Acoustic Drums to Electric Drums. In this video I will be discussing my thoughts on wether it is worth it or not to switch from acoustic to electric.
I purchased the Roland TD-17KVS after switching from a Sonor Martini Kit with the Zildjian L80 Low Volume Cymbals / Remo SilentStroke Drumheads and these are my honest thoughts on the transition.

Great video, looking to potentially buy these soon!
Get the kvx if you can. Its worth the extra price.
Ive found that using nylon tips doesnt leave marks like wood tips do on Roland cymbals. My brother switched after I pointed it out to him. I also clean them with 303 protectant occasionally.
Great feedback and advice, I gotta try nylon
Hello my friend!
I have a Roland TD-17 kv.
I recently bought the CY-16R-T ride cymbal, but I'm having trouble getting it to work. As it's a three-zone cymbal, it has two outputs, but I don't know where to plug it into the module. How did you manage to install your ride on the module?
I couldn't find anything about it on UA-cam. If you can help, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you very much.👍
How do you like the big ride? I was thinking of a 15". Do you find the 16" to be a good size? Thanks.
Hey, I love the big ride to be honest. It is noticeably louder than the other cymbals, which is relatively surprising, especially given the weight of the cymbal (medium). I feel like they could’ve shed some decibels if they made this a light cymbal. Additionally, I do like the 16, it has a great crash sound.
