Hey mate, your film inspired me to get on my bike today. Only 40km, a warm up for you I'm sure, but for me that's a good distance, especially as it was mostly off road. Thank you. Ps. As a Cornishman, I agree entirely about the mighty pasty!
As always, a wonderful video Josh...Hi from New Zealand. I toured the UK twice during the early 1990s and loved it. Favourite parts, in no particular order were the Yorkshire Dales, the Scottish Highlands and Southwest England. Your videos bring back so many good memories. Many thanks. 🚴♂
Another great video. When I watch these types of videos, I am interested in the trails, landscape and the route. At least, you are one of the UA-camrs who provide this panarama. Too many times I have started watching a bikepacker's publication, and all you are presented with is a view up thier nostrils!!!
As soon as you said Poole in Dorset i thought the Sand banks ferry and Studland-Swanage and beyond to Weymouth the Jurrasic coast leading close to Sidmouth/Exmouth ish, Exeter to Dawlish, You have brought back so many memories, mid 50's now and your vids are awesome, thank you, edit Old Harry rocks yes just before Swanage, tis a bit hilly, Lulworth Cove is epic, used to take The Wife and kids, that car park was always full and the hill was always a challenge, the views from atop though are some of the most wonderful i have ever seen on a Coastline, the land slippage in massive chunks of Earth over time......Hope they golfers work it out btw
Well done. Really like this subject. Love steel road bikes. Parts are usually common standards and easy to maintain. I have several but my daily Allrounder is Milwaukee Road with midreach brakes and 700x32s and can tackle most any thing considered a road. My Rando/Touring/Gravel bike is a Soma Pescadero. Room for 700x43s tyres with the Paul Racer Brakes, mudguards and midfork eyelets for rando rack/bags. If I need a bigger tyre than that I'll just take my mountain bike. Cheers.
So great to see you back on a bike, Josh. I take it you're all mended now? Always fancied an east-west route like this, so thanks for the inspiration 👍🏻.
😂 that's why I started in margate, couldn't trust myself to get to Cornwall. Phillips Pasties are always great, but the ones I had in Padstow last time were probably a bit better. They went traditional ones though
Looks grand never been those parts but a great ride id love to do but at my age maybe abit much so I get to follow you and experience is at least great vid as always you do best vids on here imo ,atb david
Great video. It's easy to forget how much time and effort it is to set up a camera, ride out of shot, ride through the shot then go back and pick up the camera! I'm about to embark on LEJOG and want to film it so came here to get some tips....anything short of what you're doing will look pap in comparison! ;-) How long does each of those shots take to set up? Final question....do you ever get concerned leaving your bike outside the tent all night?
Always a great day when one of your adventures land. Thank you. You like Scotland. You like pubs. How about going to Inverie? Scotland most remote village? Cheers 🌞🚴♀️🖖
I had planned to go to the most remote pub, last year but when I checked it was being refurbished, so I went to the oldest tree instead. I will have to check to see if it open again 😀
I starting to recognise more and more places on your trips these days :) Did you camp inside Chanctonbury Ring on the SDW? haha! The route through the final 1/3 of the trip looked really good, not got that far west myself yet so gonna take some notes. Thanks for a great vid!
A most beautiful route. Do you have the routes you ride available to download? I've always been scared of riding across a golf course, but never thought anyone actually got hit by a golf ball. Wrong!
You can find all the routes etc at www.keepsmilingadventures.com/ He was very unlucky he wasn't even on the golf course, he was running along a road that went past it. 🤕
I think this was my favourite trip. It was so beautiful all the way along, and so many placed I went to as a kid with my mum; for a moment I forgot London existed. But who was your charming assistant at 34:49!? A Patreon, or have you got a secret girlfriend?
WHY DO YOU ALWAYS USE TITLES WITH CAPITAL LETTERS? DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO DISABLE CAPS LOCK? IT'S THE KEY ABOVE YOUR LEFT SHIFT KEY. REMEMBER TO ONLY IT PRESS IT ONCE TO DISABLE IT. AND PLEASE. DO WRITE THIS DOWN JUST IN CASE YOU ACCIDENTALITY ENABLE IT AGAIN. IT MAKES IT QUITE DIFFICULT TO READ TEXT LIKE THIS. IT ALSO MAKE YOU LOOK QUITE STUPID. SORRY.
Your comment was rude, and uncalled-for. You know, if you were generally interested why they are in caps, you could have just asked “what's the reason you title everything in caps?” And I would have replied, well the analytics show a video titled with capital letters gets more views. They just perform better. But you decided to come in all passive-aggressive telling me how stupid I look, for um let's see, doing the very thing that works on UA-cam. Just because you follow me doesn't mean you can come here and tell me what to do and tell me I look stupid because something you don't even understand. If you don't like the way I title something, that's fine that's your choice, and if it bothers you that much, you are free to not watch.
Imagine getting knocked out by a golf ball, and the next thing you see is a bloke with 'BONK' written on his hat.
🤣 🤣🤣
brilliant ride and video Josh, well done plugging away into that wind....some awesome camera shots and great storytelling, cheers
What a fantastic trip. And an absolute joy to watch, thank you.
Really enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
My neck of the woods love the lanes around Charing :)
Great video, thnk you for sharing

These video's are my happy place. Thanks Josh, that was another epic journey with some decent miles each day. Great effort.

Wow! The fish eye go pro lens made that pastie look ginormous!!! Another top tour vid! Nice one!
Your camping spot on the SDW was Chantonbury Ring. Beautiful spot. Old legends say if you walk backwards round it u see the devil. Great vid
Very enjoyable film, excellent
Epic mate. Went past my play ground of Butser Hill and QECP as well. Amazing video as always.
Great adventure. Love this video.
thank you for this! I was thinking of doing this route as I live in Margz and it's been an ambition for a while. This has really helped me.
Best one yet!
Golden Cap is not only the highest point on the Jurassic coast, it is the highest point on the whole of the Southern coast.
Love your videos keep them coming 😊
So great to see you back on a bike, Josh. I take it you're all mended now? Always fancied an east-west route like this, so thanks for the inspiration 👍🏻.
Well done ! Great Video as always ! It’s about getting out long or short … pushing yourself over all those hills 👍👏🏻
Love the new Keep Smiling shirt Josh! ❤😄
Fantastic video, some great shots and what an adventure!!!
I managed the Camel Trail a few weeks ago. Nice and relaxing ride, but raining hard on my return journey to Bodmin, typical!
Stunning mate!! You always seem to find cracking camp spots as well. I seem to end up on the side of the trail somewhere haha!
Brilliant
Great vid (as always!) Thanks. Did you really say Crab and Wrinkle Way? 😂😂😂

Nice to meet you 👊
Hey Josh you got your own t shirt. Nice one ! 🤘🏻 looks good 👍
Awesome trip and great to see you back mate. Take it you got on the right train this time 😂
Were those pasties better than the other place?
😂 that's why I started in margate, couldn't trust myself to get to Cornwall. Phillips Pasties are always great, but the ones I had in Padstow last time were probably a bit better. They went traditional ones though
Great video, really enjoyed it. What motivated the switch to a flat bar? Thanks.
That Patagonia jacket has served you well Josh. Which one is it? Great video as usual.

Nothing wrong with using an e-bike if the legs aren't up to it
Yet another fantastic video Josh thank you. I don't know why never noticed b4 but by heck you ride narrow bars!😅
The flat bars are a new edition, taking it back to the 90's with the 600mm bars 😄

I have made a video over on the second channel if you want it check it out ua-cam.com/video/ic4on9E81oI/v-deo.html
Your second night of camping on the South Down Way with a fellow cyclist camper nearby looked like Chanctonbury Ring?
