Video games have a lot more positive effects than adults think. Some video games are more healthy than others but tbh I only really play Minecraft so loving it is NOT an addiction. Resident Evil and games like that are far less healthy. So it really just depends on the game and how long you play it.

Unfortunately a far too common example of a double standard in life. Welcome to the clubs. Facisious and sarcastic is included in the clubs. Best situation is to leave and make our own rules as soon as possible including a rule agenst double standards.
Being a kingdom hearts fan actually made it really easy for me to pick friends in school. I found other fans and we'd bond over stuff like favorite characters or moments in the games. But the stories actually taught me some valuable lessons I needed as a kid. I don't think I'd be who I am today without it and the friends I made.
Crash Bandicoot, SIMs, and Animal Crossing. Such fun games and even during the hardest times of my life they helped distract me from depression. 😅

Honestly I relate so much to the making friends thing (or rather not making friends?!?). I have always wondered what it was that made me unlikeable?(is that a word?). For me personally it was UA-cam not games that got me throwing my rough time. Animator’s like you, gaming channels really made me feel like I had friends when I was down and honestly still do.
I had a DS when I was younger, and I still go look at it and watch the countless animations on it.

Flipnote actually is a style of animation which I'm pretty sure Adam is familiar with, called Flipbook animation (I'm not 100% sure) but instead of making the animation on different pieces of paper it made the Flipbook electronic

Tbh, the biggest impact video games had on me was on the side of creativity and logic. I grew to love massive expansive intricate worlds full of brilliant colors and figuring out logical conclusions to problems especially with a lil game I started playing when I was really young, nothin' too big, just a lil open world sandbox game by a Sweedish developer... calllled Minecraft. c:

I got a old use DSI and I have one of those animations saved into a storage thing. Sadly the storage can’t be accessed anymore but I just remembered that animation shown in the video off of it.
I feel you Adam I was also a bit of an Introvert in the beginning of my school life and I found video games with the first being my dads Xbox 1 and my 2ds and it’s helped me make friends and be more extroverted
If it wasn’t for games I also probably would’ve been a boring person
