Damn it, the Anderson's got tickets again for this dunk contest! And they were definitely first ballot Hall of famers. But still great edits and definitely realistic.
I've seen Michael Jeffrey Jordan's contest dunks a thousand times but actually (which I am embarrassed to admit) I have never seen full dunk contest highlights from '85, '87 and '88 and didn't realize he missed some of his dunks! I really had this idea that "the guys back then, the legends, didn't miss their dunks". So thank you for the video!
I had no idea either... but after going down a rabbit hole, and watching the FULL old timey dunk contests (which I had never done) I saw those missed dunk, and I was immediately struck with this idea. So , you are not alone.. it's all a discovery process for me too

THE NBA STORYTELLER dominique was dissed as hell on that one. His dunks have carisma and deserve way more respect. I don't know where the mad scientist got his judges, but he should reconsider his choice of judges if he does a dunk contest rematch. side note (of my own ;-P).. did you notice the resemblance of the rogue mad scientist's actions to the beyonder from marvel's scret wars? (where the beyonder kidnaps a bunch of super heros, avengers, xmen and others, and a bunch of super villains to a different dimension and makes them fight each other) let me know in the comments to my comment if you did.
Second of all, MJ got a free pass, and maybe vince held back (I don't know, maybe) but vince was still better (meaning i liked his dunks more) and deserved to advance in my opinion.

Listen - when i got the VHS tape on my doorstep last week - it directed me to put up the "Time Travelers Warning" @:17 - it didn't make sense at first , but after watching some of those careless and biased scores (and commentary) it made sense...
He who warned you is a wise man indeed, who knows the hearts of men and of the dangers ahead. Listen to him for he possesses true wisdom and high 5 him, for one day (in the future) you will be in his place.... and I gotta add, VHS was like true magic, wasn't it? Sad thing they stopped making them.
(and it's okay I ain't that mad at the judges anyway, they made for a pretty good story after all)

The Dominique disrespect is real... there was some real bias in the judging... Also, I don't think MJ should have gone to the finals, should have been Vince - but, he did come out too reserved, he might have been saving his best stuff for the finals.

That Vince Carter dunk contest its still unmatched... so creative, so powerfull and so well executed. I saw Donovan Mitchel trying to recreate the dunk this year and it not being as close as VC did it just shows how good that dunk was.

Love your edits man, really great stuff. Personally, I couldn't finish (stopped @ 8:45), I think the final 2 should have been Vince and Zach. Here's why: All of them had mostly lacklustre post dunk reactions. Zach and Dominic basically did the same first two dunks with slight variation. Vince's first dunk was original, not done in game or in the contest history. Michael messed up his second dunk, and even the one he got looked weird; wasn't smooth, looked like it hit or her tucked it under his chest and or arm. So that's why I would have Vince and Zach in the finals, even though Vince's second dunk wasn't that exciting. Before I end this comment, those ads are hilarious! Please keep up your great work!
