Arslan showed up when There were 18 major Tekken tournaments a year. Previous titles had like 4 or 5 major tournaments per year. And now even more events are added.
It’s impressive how fast Arslan adapted to T8 despite losing his main (Kuni) and his first new main (Azucena) getting massive nerfs. He had to learn two new mains. At the same time he had to adapt to new T8 moves and animations. He is a highly defensive reaction based player. Attacking is easy, but playing good defense so fast in a new game is mind blowing. And this game didn’t match his play style. He had to adjust his play style.

you can do that with kings giant swing too. You can tech roll to take less damage, but if it's still enough to ko, youll get KO'd while tech rolling then finish the animation after the round ends

Knee is the Goat for me. But honestly i think Arslan Ash has proven past years that he is the best player. Winning 5 evos in 5 years is just insane. He also convincingly defeated atif who was steamrolling everyone until grandfinals. I think Knee will get on track soon though. But i think Arslan will dominate t8 aswell.
