Got to admit, for a small company there's almost manufacturer levels of thought and precision that's gone into this. Looking forward to seeing more of these.
Better than manufacturer level fit and finish. These are cars that get QA checked by a human being at every inch and nut and bolt rather than roll off a production line.
Honestly, Carfection is insane. Henry is one of the best presenters in the business. Whoever is the DP absolutely crushes the videography, and the editor is killller. Also this car is incredible. Props all round!
Back in the day I used to carry my 6m bright yellow double kayak on my dark blue 964 (which was about 4.3m long) on special roof racks. That got a few comments!
The innocence of these small restomod firms remind you of the days when when Porsche dealers in California took 356s to small shops, tweaked them a bit and raced like hell. At least, that's how Ken Miles got the ball rolling.
This car is like the carification (personification) of carfection videos of late. The videos are like 911’s; wow, brilliant, perfection; surely they couldn’t get any better?! But hey! The carfection team have outdone themselves again, perfecting on perfection.
Since discovering TD a few years ago following Singer, I say I prefer TD. There is an indescribable something about the details that makes pure and purposeful
I like how Henry politely pointed out the items that he felt could be engineered or become options. Interesting how the custom Porsche HotRod/Recreation 911 builds are going, prices are becoming astronomical and I'm thankful I got my 2 air cooled wonders 9 years ago. Theon interiors are more inventive but they are using the same SpinneyBeck German leather as Singer-and of course I now use. I prefer 1987-1988 G50s but I see the 964 platform as more modern. I'll keep my mechanical steering with all its wiggle. With the Taycan Turbo S in the mix-drove it on track and its beyond amazing...911 and cars are about to evolve and keeping these masterpieces alive is critical.
This ranks IMHO as one of Carfection best video for content and cinematography. And I wish Theon all the best, if I had the resources I would gladly be a customer.
Henry, your smile says it all from the start! Natural, relax, enjoyment of the wheel in your hands. Seems to be a beautiful car, I hope Theon does well.
Been following these guys from the first 911 tiff tested a few years back would have one these in a heartbeat......and its UK made......wouldn’t surprise me if magnus comes a knocking lol..... welldone theon hope you go from strength to strength 👍👍👍
Although the singer exposed shift linkage always takes the cake. The interior design on this car is a 10 with nothing to compare. The back seat design is PERFECT, the door cards are PERFECT. I would have probably just painted the fan in the engine mustard yellow and asked Sharkworks for a rear breaklight with a lightbar.
I hv always liked the original look of 911/964 and he has heighten the standard by giving it more modern infront air intake and rear bumper, I love how the new PORSCHE name written at the rear.
Lovely cars.. I cannot help the Theon Greyjoy link whirling around in my mind! I am sure I won't be the only one. Theon design are awesome as is Carfection and Henry Catchpole.
I'd then start to worry about too many people other than Henry, Chris, And the existing Carfection team having creative control and then it becomes something else entirely.
This just shows the product resulting from passion one has. I mean the video. Oh no, the car. Nevermind. Thanks for inspiring - those who work with passion.

@@ironpony42 Well, if this quote is legitimate, his childish insecurities make him very much an American. Paul Stephens, Rennsport RSR, RPM Technik. Is he upset that other people have had a similar idea? And produce a high quality product?
Isn't it incredible how a car that a whole lot of people dismiss as a sporty beetle has inspired so many people, so many lives, so many careers? A design that many claim hasn't changed for the better half of a century still has that imprinting effect on new generations of petrolheads. Ferrari might have unrivaled passion, others might have unrivaled power, but Porsche... Porsche seems to have something stylistic, something intangible, something timeless, that inspires generation upon generation.
I've never found that adaptive suspension is necessary if you have nicely digressive high end dampers. I installed some MCS 2way on a BMW M3 that I once owned and despite the massive increase in spring rate, they were better mannered on the road than the OEM setup. Thoughts Henry??
Spectacular piece of cinematography. The car, as good as it seems, clearly have some rough edges. If I was in the position of ordering one my challenge to Theon would be a 3.6 circa 250-300bhp, under 1100kgs, narrow body on aluminium widened “steelies” with hub caps, rally lights almost no chrome or satin on the exterior, 2 seats... Dreaming is as good as it can be painful 🥴😎
Great video as always. Didn't see much of the interior of the car, so hard to compare with the competition. Not a huge fan of the name either, I would have gone with something more in line with Porsche. And finally the price, shame that a car like this demands those kinds of prices. No chance for us mere mortals to ever own one.
Sniff... every time a video like this comes out I curl into a ball and cry over my beloved 964 that I sold 10 years ago as I was too busy travelling on business at the time. I'm not travelling any more... :-)

It would be interesting here to see a comparison test between a Theon and a Singer to see which one is better overall. They’ve made only 3 cars so far! Wow, I thought it was a lot more than that. They really are only in their baby steps then.
Take a 964 and use a pre-'74 hood. Take the CIS injection off and put a couple of PMO carbs on the motor, or some ITB stacks and you will have an ideal Pcar.
Great video, amazing car and craftsmanship. Just wish you leave some more seconds of ambient sound, inside and outside, specially when it comes to a normally aspirated flat 6.
As usual, fabulous car selection, driving impressions, and film quality. There are so many ways to do a 911 restomod and all are special and individual. A RUF is a car developed alongside the contemporary model. The Singer is one man's vision of the best pieces and looks of all 911s, so to me, the Theon is in the Singer tradition, but there are a lot of companies doing that today, many of which Henry has profiled.
Hey Henry, you have got to review the Built by Legends Mines R32 they are finishing up. Maybe Boris will let you out of the country for that car. He raced a reasonably priced many years ago.
I was delighted to hear that it cost half of what a comparable Singer would cost. It's very encouraging and exciting to see Theon and Singer keeping old 911's alive. I have a uncle in Santa Barbara California who has a 70's 911 SC Targa in metalic light blue. Thankfully I've had the chance to ride in it a few times. If I had the money I'd certainly consider buying one. Thank you.

Did I hear that right, 964s were built with towing capability? Definitely the most curious thing I ve learned about 911s lately ..
Not half as curious as someone actually choosing to tow a caravan with one......
I’ve seen them towing motorcycles etc.
