I went to watch the planets awhile back and they had this as the headliner, finally got around to listening to this one again after it lives rent free in my mind for months
Absolutely wonderful!
Merci
A wonderful composition and singing - and easily the best orchestra Ive heard - so expressive.
BEAUTIFUL SINGING,,,,,GREAT PERFORMANCE,,,,,WONDERFULLY FILMED TOO......
Soprano and a string orchestra,
Lovely. Benjamin Britten is underestimated.
Love the writing for strings in this piece. Unlike anything else.
Splendid! Beautiful and deeply moving. Bravo.
Wonderful performance - and great to watch them while performing so expressively.
I always find this better suited to a woman’s voice (& sensibility), forgive me PPears. My favourite version (& voice) are those of Anne Catherine Gillet, but this woman is quite attractive. Her French is good & yes, it matters. Most of the strings’ accentuations are welcome, sometimes I like these even more pointed. Bravo!!
KUDOS! Maximum delivery, in deed...
The list of players includes only one double bassist but there are actually two, one playing with a German bow and the other with a French bow.
