I’m amazed at the amount of beauty a person can possess, the extra ordinarily joyful atmosphere one can ever create and the love …. ah the love, only Mozart can show us how to caress and appreciate the tenderness that is in all of us.

Yes, unfortunately, we are experiencing an overwhelming amount of bad news. Let us hope it doesn't get any worse. It is so ironic that even in the midst of horrible wars, plagues, and natural disasters, gifted artists (like Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Beethoven, Rameau, Poulenc, Stravinsky, Haydn, Shostakovitch, Prokofiev, etc.) have been able to produce art like we have here.

haha yes wholeheartedly agreed but I would just give him enough money that he didn't have to struggle for a bit. But who knows, maybe he thrived even more because he had to make money thus how eventually he left us this enormous amount of legacy. nevertheless, Mozart did have some patrons adored him in his life time. He was not always in short of money and he had lived lavishly in Vienna having parties and playing snookers and playing his own string quartets and quintets with Haydn. Not bad for a composer, not bad for a genius (cus they usually are miserable.) :)

I feel as though I am relaxing by a river in a forest clearing. There are deer and rabbits playing nearby. Butterflies dancing among the wildflowers. This is the feeling this lovely piece gives me. Thanks, of course, to Mozart, but also to these five musicians for such a heart-felt rendering of this composition. Beautiful.

This is an elegant and wonderfully tasty example of what can be done with earlier music on modern instruments, if the players care enough to employ some historical performance practices (HIP). I've been a performer in HIP ensembles playing period instruments for nearly 40 years, and the delicacy and style of this performance impresses me greatly. Just proves once and for all that it can be done. The beautiful boxwood clarinet with gold fittings is just icing on the cake. I believe it's safe to say that Mozart himself would have approved of this performance. My congratulations to you all. So glad this came up in my feed today!

Gobsmacked! The sound engineering brings out the best in each player. Ms. Meyer gave a stellar performance. Everyone played sublime. A performance worth starting one's listening day. Thank you.

I listen to Mozart everyday because in these crazy, pandemic times, his music is incredibly up-lifting and brings me so much serenity.

I was so impressed by her rock solid tone control. I like to observe reed players embouchures when I get the opportunity. Hers is so strong, wish the camera could reveal her subtle shifts in an otherwise carved in marble lock on the mouthpiece. I’d rather listen to her play than any other clarinetist recorded today. This interpretation is so beautifully played by all of the masterful musicians here. Thank you for uploading this musical gem.

I have listened to perhaps six or even eight or ten renditions of this masterpiece by all kinds of different performers. For me, NOBODY plays this piece like Sabine Meyer... and the Armida quartet. I find myself gravitating to this one recording whenever I need K581 back in my soul. Their version of all four mvts is simply the pinnacle of Mozart in this universe.

Sabine Meyer has quite possibly the best sound that a clarinet has ever produced. With no disrespect intended to all the wonderful clarinetists out there, it is simply a master class to listen to her.
