this is so beautiful and bittersweet to me. britney is an extremely talented singer that was done dirty by so many people including not just her family but her management and record executives etc... i hope one day she'll regain the confidence to go all out with her voice again.
She a natural low Mezzo voice, who was told by her label to sing more nasal and breathy. Mainly because she was 15 sounding like freakin Toni Braxton, which is a compliment to her talent. Unfortunately that isnt marketable bavk then whike thelabel wanted a teen pop star
This is her real voice and how she was when she signed her deal. Obviously heavily influenced by R&B and really caring about actually being a vocalist. In the 2 years she was in Sweden recording, they trained a lot of that out of her voice to get a more pop sound. On her first 2 albums you can still here the voice and her trying with adlibs and holding notes and most of that was gone by the third and fourth albums.
that doesn't make any sense. "trained ouf of her voice" lmfao tf? she learned to sing a different way, that's where the story ends. she can still put on these vocals, as showcased plenty of times in the last couple of years.
She first leak this song on her website back in 2007. Originally she planned to make music like Sheryl Underwood but her label had other plans. By the time she finished Bottom of my broken heart her original voice became the signature one we know today and by the second album, her original voice was gone
I personally feel like her label wanted her to cover as many grounds with the first album. So if the world would continue with the whole Natalie Imbruglia/Alanis Morrisette type of music, we'd have songs like I Will Be There or Thinkin' About You. If the world would continue having more Baha Men type hits, we'd have Soda Pop. If the world would continue with the Mariah R&B route, we'd already have From the Bottom of My Broken Heart and I Will Still Love You. So I guess since those two were already on there (and Don Philip was an artist they'd also signed right around that time, they'd go with him and try to promote his music with their duet - I Will Still Love You - rather than Full Force, who weren't signed to Jive as far as I know). That's also why, when the "overproduced"/futuristic pop apparently became big, they rerecorded (You Drive Me) Crazy to give it more oomph and less of an organic feel.
She’s a pretty great singer, not the best cause she falls off key a bit bit,but I’ve seen countless vocal coaches say she has such potential and I’ve always heard it,but when your told how to sing all your life it will destroy your vocal chords and sadly it’s hurt her in the long run,but I’m sure she still has a passion for singing, when you have it you never really lose it
It's nearly a copy of All Cried Out so that could be why this song never saw the light of day. I'm surprised this was a collaboration at all. It'd be very interesting to know how this came about.
Yes Britney Spears has a much deeper voice. Think of like Tony Braxton. Her low register is amazing. But the baby voice that her label made her sing to make her more marketable kind of ruined her real voice.

Glad I requested Thai song because it shows her vocals free and beautiful talent

The chorus of the song sounds very similar to All Cried Out by Allure
same writing/production team (full force).
Oh yeah. They produced the original by Lisa Lisa.

You should react to ‘out from under’ an album track from her 2008 album ‘Circus’
