Great tutorial! I have watched scores of bookbinding tutorials, and yet you taught me something new x4: using coffee stain (?and rust?) to decorate the bookcloth, tucking the bookcloth in at thr spine, molding the corners, and stippling the glue. Thank you!

Love the cover! However, it just doesn't feel like "Robyn" without some gold (or bronze). Maybe a few gilding flakes, just a sprinkle...to hint at the glory inside. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us, Robyn. :)

Just awesome....I was wondering if paper could used to back hand stitched covers...it sounds like it would prevent stretching...thanks for all the information❤️
Oh Absolutely! And would definitely help with the stretching and give a much more stable surface to use the stitched fabrics in collage or covering a book surface etc. :)
Robyn, you and your videos are so amazing... I always look forward to your email notifications and rush to UA-cam to view your latest video. Has it been brought to your attention that UA-cam has discontinued their email notifications? I am so distraught by this and just cannot believe that they would take a step " backwards" in their channel at the expense and convenience of their viewers. Do you have any power to change this or know how your viewers can protest this ridiculous setback?
Hhhmmmm no I didn't know that they eliminated the notifications, that's just ridiculous, try doing a YT search on this topic and see what creators are saying. If there is something that can be done to counter thisI find someone has already done a video on it. I'll look also...Thx for bringing this to my awareness. Just so you know I schedule my videos every Saturday at 7am PST US
Robyn, I have spent a few hours searching, and have found some so called " solutions", but they are obsolete and do not work now. This action has happened just on August 12th, 2020. I don't think this is anything we can do... it is all up to UA-cam!
@@semajrn1 Gosh!! Yes so unfair. Did you view the video link I sent you? When I listened to the explanation the the YT Manager gave for why they decided to eliminate emails and how it doesn't affect Creator views, it's just not true my view on this video are down by 30%!!!! And I'm sure that's because that percentage of my viewers rely on email notification, not push notification on their phones. Not everyone has the latest version of these cell phones which interfaces much better with the Media platforms than the older phones do...smh
Yes Robyn, I did go to the link you sent me... I watched it and much of it is beyond me... I really don't understand all of what they are talking about....ie: what are " push notifications" ? If they are on my cell phone, I am not happy.... I do not use my cell for viewing my subs on UA-cam... I use only my laptop.. so, I do not understand how I can receive notifications from my many creators that I love, and watch daily!
You can do fusible webbing the challenge is that is is synthetic and if you use natural fabrics that don't stretch at the same rate, also you have to use more like an E6000 glue. However with those consideration with experience fusible lining could be used. Thx for the suggestion and hanging out with me! :)

Canvas also works well as a book cover. You can really decorate canvas easily.
