  • CBBAG Presents an Exploration of Japanese papers (September 21, 2022).
Japanese paper - washi - comes in a large range of weights, textures, colours and patterns that are a great resource for book artists. But can you use them for something other than Japanese-style binding? Yes, you can! To illustrate the myriad ways washi can be used for book arts, Sigrid will show and discuss works from the collection of The Japanese Paper Place.
After being inspired by how various makers have used washi, we will go through the sample package together to learn about the characteristics of the various papers in it, and how you might use them yourself.
