This is better than watching a show or movie. I usually sit down and watch one of my shows or movies while I quickly eat, but when a video of yours pops up, I watch it instead. Also, the "enemy does not attack" spell cards are pretty OP (not in a bad way) so are the relics that you can attach to units that doesn't allow an enemy to attack and seem to be pretty much the only way you can successfully take out a town without taking too many wounds (IMO).
Watching through these again as I bring MK out for some holiday games. Always wondered how your cards are holding up, not being in sleeved and with your vigorous shuffling style? 🤔
To fix that mistake you can wound your Amotep gunners so instead of blocking with them you just assign the 5 damage to them. This would mean that they are still active but wounded.
That's right. If an attack has a "type" (e.g. fire or ice) then your regular block still works, but it is "inefficent" - i.e. halved. So, to block a fire attack of 6 I would need Ice Block of 6 (or ColdFire block of 6), OR regular block of 12 (or fire block of 12). Of course, you can combine whatever types of block you have, just remember which are fully effective and which are inefficient (i.e. halved). And remember to sum all your blocks up BEFORE you divide by 2 for inefficiencies ;)
Actually, the way I found your channel was AFTER I watched WatchitPlayed. I'm extremely new to board games. Mage Knight was my first board game which I received 2 weeks ago. I tried Runebound solo and hated it. I just tried Agricola solo and, while I LOVED the theme and kind of liked the game, I don't see me playing it anymore. I'm however still looking for more solo board games to play around with since my friends are not board gamers. Mage Knight is awesome, thinking about Gears of War...
Question about Crystal Mastery: its Strong ability says to at the end of your turn return any crystals you have spent to your inventory. However, you sometimes gain mana crystals from other sources (skills, fairy circles, deeds, etc) which are put into your play area. Can you use this card to essentially bounce these crystals from your play area to your inventory, allowing them to be stored? For example, use your skill that gives 1 red mana crystal to your inventory and 1 red or black mana to your play area, then use the crystal in your play area, then use Crystal Mastery to put that spent crystal into your inventory?
I believe the game always refers to the ones in your play area as "mana tokens" rather than crystals -- on BGG, someone asked a similar question and answer was that mana tokens are not affected by Crystal Mastery.
Congratulations, these are very nice episodes , i wonder if it is not more efficient for game producers to add a DVD in the game box with a similar walk-trough ,you learn much more easily a game by watching videos first and read the rules later. Just a small correction : that is not a Fire Dragon, it's a High Dragon.
With the fire and cold resist, isn't it in the rules about attacks from red or blue cards half as efficient as well? Seems like to would make killing that dragon pretty hard.
If you are in or adjacent to one of your keeps, yes, you get +1 card to your hand limit for EVERY keep you own. If you move away from the keep (no longer adjacent) then this bonus goes away.
Hi dkyzar - all attacks have a type (physical, fire, ice, coldfire). The colour of the card you played does not feature in the calculation. However, non-attacks effects from cards does make the card colour important. I hope this answeres ?
Where does it say this? It says that if you're attacking multiple enemies, treat it as one enemy with both resistances. And with both resistances, aren't cold fire attacks inefficient?
so, if you are in your keep or JUST adjacent to it, you can have +1 card in your hand limit, is that correct? I think I've read that you ALWAYS have + ~ *number* of cards in your hand limit, AS LONG AS you OWN the keep ? Am I wrong or am I right :D? Thanks!
Since I'm a gaming (mainly PC) geek I kind of need an extremely complex strategy game or something of the sorts to make me happy (that's why Runebound did NOTHING for me). Any tips on a board game would be great. I've been to BGG over and over and can only see 1 or 2 that I might like. (I'm trying to get D-Day at Omaha Beach).

when you attacked the High Dragon, he had resistance to fire and ice, and you beat him with 9 damage, so it would be defeated with 18 damage, am I right?
Renato Reis THe Dragon is resistant to Fire and Ice attacks, so any fire attacks or ice attacks are halved. The dragon is not resistant to Physical Attacks, so regular attacks go through at 100%, so 9 regular damage will do the job. If I only had fire or ice attacks then yes, I would then need 18.
Holy moly! SORRY MY MISTAKE :D ! I saw it - REGULAR BLOCK (5) .. not fire block of 5 :D:D ! I saw it, and I heard exactly what you said: "This has a regular block" .. silly you dude :D ! So, you can block with regular blocks, but it is only HALVED is that so? I didn't know that :D:D .. I thought that I can't block it any other way but with FIRE block.. lol ! so does that mean (in the previous video with the draconum) you can block the Frost Fire attack with 22 regular block or so :D?
Why do you think that there is a mistake at the assault of the the mage tower (ice mages) ? You have blocked successfully with 5 fire block, didn't you? Where is it said that his damage is brutal (halved) ?
When you fought the Ice Mage - in addition to forgetting about the Ice attack you also used Improvisation which requires you to discard a card. You would not have been able to heal yourself. You would have ended that turn with 4 wounds in your hand before drawing.
hi Justin. When you play a card sideways, like improv, you ignore any text on it... it just counts as 1 attack, or 1 block, or 1 influence. So, in this case there is no need to discard a card when playing improv. i hope this helps you in your games! best wishes, Rick

Ooo, an outtake!
😂 it only took 11 years for someone to mention it . thanks for watching till the end !
Charming dragon slayer!

I used a unit to fight the draconum... you can use your units day or night . I'm not really sure I understand your question though :(
Hi
Great job I really love your videos, moreover you upload them pretty regularly wich is awesome.

If it is night time, since the tower did not reveal, how did you use the unit?

Question, when using a spell, if it day time, can you use the night spell?
Answer, no (unless you are in a Dungeon)
sorry Ricky, I have search a lot but I can´t find how to put in play de elite units, can you clarified this for me?

+Ricky Royal thanks for the answer!!
No, that is not the case.
I forget where, but it says that night rules prevent you from using your troops.
no, only in dungeons

suikostinger try DVD's FC Napoleon or GMT's Fields of Fire.
(maybe you are thinking of Dungeons..?)

1.0 mage knight was the best game already launched and detonated with him
