Yeah, I couldnt find the tape he mentioned since it ran out. So alternatively used mirror/letter attachment tape - worked like a charm under $20 for both @ bunnings.

Just did what you instructed. Worked great but rusted bolts snapped in half. Took to special adhesive velcro to adhere plate! Thank you for advice.

I would try cleaning it with wag and grease remover first the use the tape

how much is the thickness of the two strips glued together. At the back of the W203 I have a 6mm gap.

MoLassessss No. This product uses the same adhesive that holds factory door trim on. Try it, it won’t melt.
