frontline still to this day has one of if not the most faithful recreation of the Omaha beach landings in any video game period, COD WW2’s recreation is a close second but what makes frontline’s so special is that you’re 100% in the thick of it, there’s no cutscenes. Really puts you into their shoes and you really get to feel just how devastating it was

@Frank R, you should really go get a PS2, and also get your games, console, and accessories at flea markets, swap meets, yard sales, and garage sales, as you will have far less likely of a chance to get ripped off by scalpers in those places than anywhere else. However, on rare occasions, you can use online auction websites to score good deals on them as well.
Tony Hawk's underground & T.H.U.G 2 were literally the best Tony Hawk Games ever made imo, they actually had stories and awesome jackass like missions to play through. American wasteland was also awesome although I played that game on Xbox 360 but it followed the T.H.U.G. formula
@@RonaldDorsinator same here my dude! T.H.U.G. 1&2 were perfect games that actually had a story to tell which was amazing especially the jackass style stunts lol man they need to be remastered!

Thug 2 was a fantastic game and meant a lot to me as young teenager, but playing it today feels dated. Jackass and Bam Margera are not really relevant today. At least not in the same way it was back then. Thug 1 still holds up 100%
Having T.H.U.G., Mercenaries, Battlefront 2, and Midnight Club 3 on this list is great because those games all made up my formative gaming years but the fact that Burnout 3 is number one seals it for me. I have never played a racing game or really any game since then that has been able to match the same moment to moment thrills that that game did and for that reason it is still my favorite videogame ever. Plus it has the added bonus of also having the best soundtrack in a videogame. Ever.

Tony Hawk’s Underground had some of the best stages in the series. New Jersey, Manhattan, and Moscow are all 3 of my all time favorites. I could do combos throughout New Jersey for hours.
The early medal of honours were so atmospheric. As a kid playing them i felt like i was in the game. Its hard to find a game now that still has that effect. The sniper level from allied assault is one of the loneliest and tense levels ever made in my opinion

@@robina.806 I feel that. I tried playing it again a couple years back and just couldn't do it. It was fun but took me back a little to hard
Yea DBZ deserves mention. It was definitely a high point for bandai namco studios
LoTR, Burnout, Battlefront, Ratchet and clank, Jak , Kingdom hearts, THPS/THUGs, NFS Most wanted, DMC, Sly, SoTC, FFX, GOW, RE4, MGS3, RoTS, NFL Street, Rayman 2, TM Black, Def Jam.. PS2 has so many classics that still hold up to this day it’s insane, like i could have kept going with that list for a couple more paragraphs lol

TLOS: Dawn of the Dragon
Spiderman 2: The Movie Game
Airblade
Tekken 5
The Sly Cooper trilogy

Somewhat ironic that you include RE4 considering that the PS2 version is arguably the worst version
@@bronzin1445 Yeah, I suppose you're right. I don't suppose you've played or ever heard of Capcom's Maximo?
You seem to REALLY like Capcom games on the PS2, huh?
@@zzz43344 Heck Yeah I do! Who doesn't love Capcom?
Battlefront 2 is far superior than what EA gave us. I tried the the first Battlefront EA delivered and returned it within 3 days of buying it, because there was nothing left to do in single player.
Yeah
Facts
you should try the second one nowadays its absolutely amazing
Interestingly enough, tony hawk’s underground was my first tony hawk game
Good times
Same
Samesies...then i got THUG2 and THAW...
@@SunshineSuperstar believe it or not i got thug 2 the same time as i had underground this was back in 2014
@@ssj2rhandy I believe it. THUG was my first TH game. Turns out it was the best of the bunch. But due to the fragile nature of those ps2 discs Ive re-bought both THUG and THUG2 on several occasions.
Even recently Ive done it again. Ill try my best to maintain them but im sure ive done that before...
The first one and american waste land were so tits
frontline still to this day has one of if not the most faithful recreation of the Omaha beach landings in any video game period, COD WW2’s recreation is a close second but what makes frontline’s so special is that you’re 100% in the thick of it, there’s no cutscenes. Really puts you into their shoes and you really get to feel just how devastating it was
Could you make one for the best open world games of old/all time
Jesus christ… the memories i have of MoH frontline . That was one of the first times i realized how beautiful and how important video game music can be
I still remember the soundtrack from the game
Tony Hawks series never gets talked about in lists like these! Strange considering how big they were and how highly rated they are too. Love to see it! THUG is my all time fave 💖
Battlefront 1 and 2 were such amazing games… played them around 2007-ish on the original xbox and I would never get tired of it.
the original Xbox versions of Mercenaries and Star Wars Battlefront II are backwards compatible on Xbox One & Series consoles, and are available digitally ( just wanted to mention that for anyone interested that might not have known )
also:
SSX Tricky, 3 and On Tour
Tony Hawk 3, 4 & American Wasteland
Summoner 2
Wild Arms 2
the original .Hack quadrilogy ( if you're lucky enough to get your hands on all 4....we need a remaster pack STAT )
Timesplitters 2 & Future Perfect
Ratchet & Clank series
Sly Cooper trilogy
Beyond Good & Evil
Tales of Legendia
Tales of the Abyss
X-Men Legends 1 & 2
Primal
Legacy of Kain games
Mega Man X Command Mission
Suikoden 3, 4 & 5
Tony Hawk's Underground will always be my favorite...oh! Even Jet Li's Rise To Honor is my underrated favorite as well
Rise to Honor is pretty underrated.
@@zzz43344 hell yeah! It sure is...even if some parts of the story is predictable, it's damn good
Fun fact: Rise to Honor was the direct inspiration for Sleeping Dogs. Jet Li was even suppose to lend his voice to the main protagonist but couldn’t due to his schedule at the time
my favorite underrated game ahh the memories
rise to honor is awesome, never see anyone mention it so this is cool to see
The fact that Silent Hill 2 or 3 isn't on this list is actually absurd.
I feel like it's underrated games he chose
Right that’s what I’m saying both are classics
Got too popular now
Well did you even listen to what he said? He wanted to check other titles instead of the obvious ones smh
I'm 30 and just discovered consoles, so I'm starting at ps5 and I'm in heaven
I feel bad for you but better late than never I guess
Enjoy the ride! You've got plenty to catch up on.
MOH frontlines tone and music really hit me hard as a kid. That game depicted war in such a different way than games now.
Tony Hawk's underground & T.H.U.G 2 were literally the best Tony Hawk Games ever made imo, they actually had stories and awesome jackass like missions to play through. American wasteland was also awesome although I played that game on Xbox 360 but it followed the T.H.U.G. formula
*Man i want both of those Tony Hawk games remastered so bad they are the ones i had the most fun playing*
@@RonaldDorsinator same here my dude! T.H.U.G. 1&2 were perfect games that actually had a story to tell which was amazing especially the jackass style stunts lol man they need to be remastered!
Haven’t played the 2nd but I absolutely loved the stages on Underground 1.
@@eriklakeland3857 oh man T.H.U.G. 2 is just as good as the first and even better in some ways as it seems they were able to make the game bigger and better ✌️ I hope they release them one day
Thug 2 was a fantastic game and meant a lot to me as young teenager, but playing it today feels dated. Jackass and Bam Margera are not really relevant today. At least not in the same way it was back then. Thug 1 still holds up 100%
It’s so crazy that back when these games came out I thought it looked so realistic and good
Having T.H.U.G., Mercenaries, Battlefront 2, and Midnight Club 3 on this list is great because those games all made up my formative gaming years but the fact that Burnout 3 is number one seals it for me. I have never played a racing game or really any game since then that has been able to match the same moment to moment thrills that that game did and for that reason it is still my favorite videogame ever. Plus it has the added bonus of also having the best soundtrack in a videogame. Ever.
I think I beat tony hawk underground like 3 or 4 times. I replay it almost every year. Amazing. Never looses it touch. Great video.
Man those space battles in Battlefront 2 was so heartbreaking if your disc had a few scratches
You would either get to battle or have to constantly run away from spacefights
I have both Battlefront 04 and Battlefront 2 05 for the Original Xbox
Battlefront 2 kept me and my friends up for countless nights!
The Godfather Game on ps2 was the first game I ever played needs a remake!
My favorite PS2 game, I still play it from time to time and its awesome
Yes pal great game
-Resident Evil 4
-Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3
-GTA San Andreas
-Punisher 2004
-The Getaway
-The Warriors
-Devil May Cry 3
-Star Wars Battlefront
-God Hand
-Transformers: The Game
-Lego PS2 Games (star wars, Indiana jones and Batman)
-Hitman Series (Blood Money and Contracts Mostly)
-Predator: Concrete Jungle
-Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith
The Thing needs a remake on modern consoles, along with Code Veronica and Dino Crisis. I would buy those games in a heartbeat.
So happy you put mercenaries on this list such a classic and underrated game never understood why no one talks about it it’s so fun and has some funny moments as well
I used to play the War of the Monsters nonstop back in the day. A truly underrated gem.
Bring back city destroying monster fighting games!
Omg I remember renting that at a block buster haha. I finally got ahold of it by buying it for a few bucks on playstation store. It looks incredible on ps4/ps5 haha
I JUST MADE A COMMENT ABOUT THIS GAME 😂 I thought I was the only one who played that game! It is still amazing and was ahead of it’s time for sure
They have this game on ps5 store I play it hehe
Tony Hawk’s Underground had some of the best stages in the series. New Jersey, Manhattan, and Moscow are all 3 of my all time favorites. I could do combos throughout New Jersey for hours.
This list.... YESS YESSS YESSS YESSSSSSSS. Much love on this nostalgia trip Mojo guys and gals
The early medal of honours were so atmospheric. As a kid playing them i felt like i was in the game. Its hard to find a game now that still has that effect. The sniper level from allied assault is one of the loneliest and tense levels ever made in my opinion
I have fond memories of medal of honor, COD is like run from point a to b and shoot everything, medal of honor had objectives, it just the same fun of playing perfect dark or goldeneye 007, which is awesome 🤩
The other 007 games were better than goldeneye
@@mania4270 the world is not enough from n64 and one of the GameCube that are awesome, the other are only good
@@NeroTP world is not enough, nightfire, agent under fire, everything or nothing, and from Russia with love were probably better than goldeneye. Narc, NFL street 1-3, All Tony Hawk Games, Freedom Fighters, WWE, 007 games, Madden 04, True Crime NY, BLACK (war game), def jam, gta, Mortal Kombat and Medal of Honor.
I loved playing viewtiful joe one and 2, my favorite was playing Dante from devil may cry as a PS unlock. Wish they’d bring it back even as a PS now exclusive.
So many good games that I forget all of the good games. This was a nice video because it includes games you don't typically see on a PS2 list.
The first Mercanaries is still a blast to play also Shadow of the Colossus
I had those games.
But i have to sell them because my old PS2 console broke on accident.
The Simpson Hit and Run is a MASTERPIECE

-God Of War 2.
THUG 1 and THUG 2 for me
Battlefront II, Fatal Frame II, Burnout, Tony Hawk's Underground and MoH: Frontline glad these where on the list

Robot Alchemic Drive and Steambot Chronicles. I'm surprised neither made the list, honestly. Both are excellent and unique experiences that have never been ported or remade.
The Earth Defense Force games, which are not to be confused with the awesome SNES/NSFC Jaleco side-scrolling shooter game, are essentially sequels to Robot Alchemic Drive.
SWBF was legit a top 3 game of my childhood. So many hours with friends on this game
The 007 games anyone? Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, Everything or Nothing. They’ve all aged great. They need to be on PlayStation Plus!!
That’s more MGM than anything. They’re just as protective over their IP’s as Nintendo, maybe even more so.

i used to love playing Burnout Revenge and MK Armageddon on ps 2 in 2009/early 10s
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater is my fave to replay. It took everything I love about the previous two games and improved on them in every way.

I remember as a kid I bought Medal of Honor Frontlines. I spent days trying figure out Normandy. When I finally beat it saw level 2 I was amazed. I thought it stayed on that damned beach lmao I still tell people about that being my favorite shooter
