Congratulations Brandon and Madison , you are such a hard worker, you deserve this.
Thank you Aunt Peg!!!
Congrats on making a start to your new home, great to hear a young person sticking to a budget and not borrowing money he hasn’t got to build something grand, well done and all the very best to the 2 of you.
Thank you!
That would be great if you complete your home by your birthday. I remember being 35. That was a long time ago 😂. Love your videos.
Very interesting video Brandon, thanks for sharing with us. Hope the rest of the construction goes as well as the base, it’s looking good.
Thank you! And your welcome yes hopefully it goes smoothly
Hey Brandon thanks for sharing your special moment with us. I hope everything goes smoothly for you guys. Take care and have a great upcoming week 👍
Thank you!!
I've been waiting for this to happen. I'm very excited to see you able to get started. Looking forward to being able to follow along. Thanks for sharing. See you later.

Congratulations on this long awaited event. You've worked hard to get to this point. Now that phase one is complete, it's nothing but progress from here on. Looking forward to every step along the way.

Thank you!
Congratulations is in order ❤ may you make beautiful memories in your up and coming home.
Thank you!!
I'd think you definitely wand a fairly large bathroom with a small shower and seperate leach field so you won't ever have a problem with a lond transfer pipe.
Congratulations Brandon and family! Much deserved and good luck!
Thank you!
Congratulations Brandon and Madison on the ground braking, exited for you guys. That's a nice size shop, mine is 48x72x14 with 10' cantilever on both sides ( long ways ), all steel construction except overhead doors.
Best wishes on all the construction and house built by your bd, actually every thing will go smoothly cuz November 15 is my birthday....only difference I'll be 65😊God willing.
Thank you! That's a nice size shop! I wish I could have went alittle bigger I probably should have went alittle longer but i told myself I'm sticking to my budget....it's looking like the house will be here end of September so fingers crossed we will be in it in time!!
First, Matt at Diesel Creek, now you. "Honey, I'm gonna build you a new house, but first, I need a new shop." 😂😂 Good luck with everything Brandon.
Pleased for you.
Hope things go smoothly.
Thank you!
You should build a higher pad, so it will no flood, and a barn dominium would be needed in the end down the road, nice size to start with 40x60,it’s just right , thanks BigAl California,
Anxious to see progress to your final vision.
There will be lots of videos to come!
That’s going to be such a cool shop! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Congratulations on the start of the shop build looking forward to seeing updates
Thank you!
Good new !!
Thank you!
I enjoyed it
Thank you and thank you for watching!
Brandon you can always add a 100 x 180 shed latter.
Hopefully someday!!
It's kinda funny how when you was spraying the water on the sand I swore I could smell it.
I've smelled wet sand to be compacted before and that memory took over my brain.
It's amazing the difference between a sand pad and a clay pad like they have in Chris Letsdig18's area.
Ya gotta work with what you have available in your area tho.
Michigan where I originally grew up has plenty of sand so that's what they used when I was kid and we'd hang out watching contractors building house and shop pads.
Don't worry about the rock it will be were the post holes go.
Every time!!
Congrats! Never knew New holland made dozers
Thank you! And yes they made them for alittle while it's CNH so it's got alot of Case parts in it it's not a bad alittle dozer they aren't made anymore
Going to look good
Thank you!
Its Baldy here again I'm sure everyone else is as excited as I am for it all to be built especially your workshop anyways cheers from Australia and where do I find your merchandise as I'm follow religiously with my son who named his toy combine L2 even though it's green 1 and you gave him a shout out for me and he always wants to still watch that and show everyone anyways mate as I said with 1st comment congratulations cheers from Dean aka Baldy and my boy Blake who just loves watching your videos 😊
Looking good
Thank you!
I always appreciate your videos and your ability to do just about anything. One suggestion, please look into a 9' basement wall. The livability of the basement/lower level will be significantly improved. I have a friend who put a new basement under his old farm home. He told me the 9' basement was the best thing he did.
The pole barn dad put up is a 39 x 65. Just tall enough to get a 1969 John Deere 95 in.
Brandon I thought when you said you need to move some dirt we were going to see the D8 in action but that little dozer does very nice job you Shure have packable sand plenty of it
I hope that you put a traveling hoist from one side to the other and from the front to the back; sure makes working on things a lot easier.
Awesome on your upcoming shop and home, congratulations and good luck with everything!
I'm going to build me some type of hoist eventually...thank you I'm looking forward to working and making videos in it!
Are you going to en corporate a storm cellar/tornado shelter into the house or shop build?
Well I've got a full basement under the house we thought about turning one of the front porches in to a safe room
Hey Brandon I watched a video that welker farms said they did a couple years ago they took a engine out of a 77 jd combine and put in their 4630 and it fits perfectly you might check on something like that for your 5020 just thought maybe it might help good luck
That a easy swap the combine was a 404 deere engine and the 4630 was already made for the 404 only but the injection has to be changed if I remember correctly....in my situation I'm going to take a 531 out and try a 466 back in it's place luckily I got a buddy that's a really good machinist and I think he will be able to help me figure it out he made the clutch all work in my Linkbelt Dragline he made a beautiful adapter for the fly wheel and clutch for it
You going to do a time-lapse of the build.
I'm going to try I just got a new time lapes camera so we will see what happens
I would like to get my hands on a Cat 245b excavator since my dad used to operate one.
That's a big hoe! Biggest I've been around of that era were the 235's
@dirtgrainsteel my dad operated excavators for a good part of his life. Started at local pit running an Insley excavator. It had well over 10k in hours. Then the company decided to get 2 Cat 245B excavators (purchased at different times I think). My dad also got to operate a Bucyrus Erie 88B cable front shovel. That came on 5 - 7 lowboy trailers. I would stand behind the seat and watch dad dig & load Euclid off-road haul trucks in 3 or 4 passes. Five passes, material was falling off 3 sides. It had a 12 cylinder Cummins engine with air controls. I got started on the 245b when dad & I would change buckets for repair. That's where I learned Cat controls. I learned JD controls much much later. I like JD control pattern better.
Sorry for the long comment.
@andrewbrenneman9592 nice! Oh I don't mind the long comment at all I like to know the stories! There is a 245B ME on Facebook market place with a 8 yard bucket beautiful looking machine
Seems like you got lucky with the builder moving up the time frame of putting up your new shop.
It's going to help you have it ready for harvest season with all the benches and equipment in place to work on theharvesting equipment that always seems have Gremlins pop at the most inconvenient time.
Which way is your driveway coming in
Drive comes in from the easy
I’m just let you know I want to do a good job there why I drink my cold Bush light here looks like you’re doing very good😊
Thank you!
Why not just use the 220 for this project?
You think those are rocks lol come up here to New England we grow corn potatoes and rocks
Oh these are just little rocks there are some monsters in this are also I dug one out about 5 years ago that we caught while plowing it triped 4 bottoms out of 6 and and spun the tractor out lol
