Something that wasn't obvious to me as a mechanic is veteran's shared highlights interactions. Non vets will only see elites highlighted, but other vets get their level 30 perk of highlights.
It's also weird when I don't actually know whose F is getting extended. This sounds like it shouldn't happen often but if your vets are hanging out in Damnation, it will happen a lot.
@@owa1985 If you play multiple characters of the same class, they get different colors on their class icons. Vets F should have enemies glow in the appropriate color to which vet tagged them so volleys can be extended more evenly by organized squads.
Something to know about Wildfire: it can be passed to Daemonhosts if you're not careful. Use that Purgatus staff to flame a horde near the daemonhost, and when some poxwalker dies on the edge of the horde, it can catch the daemonhost on soul blaze. Daemonhosts do not appreciate being soul blazed.
Fun fact: the enemy doesn’t need to be markable in order for the Preacher to rush them at that distance. Any enemy works so long as your crosshair is at roughly their center. Edit: Another fun fact is that using Thy Wrath Be Swift means literally nothing you do can be interrupted my melee attacks anymore, including objectives. This makes the Preacher a reliable objective runner for something like Data Interrogators.
only thing that interrupts are the usual suspects: busters, disablers, and grabbers (and downs but as long as that hasn't happened recently you get your deny death to stave that off too).
@@ShiningDarknes Well that’s true, by those aren’t exactly melee hits. I’m not talking about you getting shanked in the back isn’t going to stop you from completing the interrogator.

Zealot's TWBS also prevents you from getting thrown out of the auspex hacking game. Likely other interactions as well (not sure about revive though). The problem is, it competes for the feat slot with Holy Revenant, which is about as must-have as feats can go.
8:10 Just for the fun of it, I made an Illisi with Blazing Spirit IV and Bloodthirsty IV to use with Wifldfire & Ascending Blaze. I'll use a special attack heavy to kill something and get the guaranteed crit on the next attack, then follow it up with another heavy attack to light all of the targets I hit on fire. Even if they die with that second hit, the soulfire gets spread to targets around it. I call it the "butter knife," and it's quite fun lol
@@owa1985 it certainly broke it before, I don't know if it still does. Before we only knew that because someone dug through the metadata and found that if you had TWBS on it breaks your aura, which by proxy broke benediction since the metadata also showed us that benediction replaces the aura with 15% instead of adding 15%. SIBLINGS! On the Illisi force sword (the multi target one) you can spam the activation to get your peril higher quickly so you can do more damage in melee or so that as it ticks down you can get toughness off of it. We psykers are good at killing! If you are using a non-force weapon (such as a gun or axe) you peril will naturally come down on its own faster than holding a force weapon and doing nothing. This allows for a slow trickle of toughness if you take the feat Quietitude. With the right melee weapon this can make you a lot more sturdy for several seconds. Quail Heretics! As you are holding R to quell peril you can swap to your weapon that has the fastest quell and the quelling won't be interrupted. WORSHIP ME OR DIE! The passive Kinetic Presence adds 10% damage just for being in coherency to elite enemies. All Psykers get this. Make sure you are in range of whoever is dealing with those targets. They can protect their bodies, but not their minds! Usually a melee or ranged weapon will be good at either hordes or single target, but not necessarily both. As a psyker with brainburst you always have access to single target damage that bypasses most armor. If your is struggling with bulwarks or crushers be sure to help out! The Talent cerebral lacerations makes it a good idea as well.
Knowing you can stop bull rush is such a relief thank you!! I was getting so frustrated because it was such a key mechanic in Vermintide 2 to ult cancel like cancelling the footknight charge so why you can’t properly do it in this game is baffling
Bleeding Nades addition: If you run the standard grenade/bleednade build with the shredder you can pump out stupid amount of damage because the bleeding ticks go up with Pinningfire+Blaze Away additonally ;) . Pretty much same how ppl play ascendingblaze gunsyker
A hidden mechanic I've also just discovered recently is that toughness and health damage are converted into stamina. I always wondered as a veteran who uses deadshot frequently why I would randomly get stamina refunded while aiming or sprinting. Turns out it's converted into stamina! I finally had this click for me while on an assassination mission using a deadshot plasma gun. Everytime the boss shotgunned me, I'd get a massive amount of stamina back to keep melting him with. He did not last long.
Were you dodging? Because vet has a feat that gives 30% stamina back when you dodge ranged attacks by dodging or sliding (and it triggers regardless of if they hit you or not, it only matters that a ranged attack was targeted at you).
Double bleed nades are really powerful, almost two powerful. Several times now I have gotten myself killed because I used the bleed grenades to wipe out an entire horde, only to be gunned down by some shooters because I no longer had anything to melee and get toughness regen.
and that is why we run the toughness when not near enemies. Much like the preacher's 5% while near 3 enemies actually being 8% because of the tic rate, the vet's does the same and actually gives more than what it says on the tin.
OK I did learn something.. I didn't realise the Zealot has a no stun feat. I'm going to have to check out all my feats on all my characters to see what I missed.
Question...so when using the Preacher's ulti against a crusher, it "lower" the Carapacy armor to Flak, at this point, is my dmg deal to the crusher affected by the +Flak dmg perk? or the +Carapace dmg perk. In other words, I'm not sure if the ult just makes us deal "flak level dmg" against Carapace, or actually changes enemies' armor type. I assume it is the first, since my ult doesn't boost the armor dmg against the target for the rest of my team as well. I've been trying to build a flamer that can somewhat handle a group of crushers...
If I quote the dev's on this change from Patch #7: "Since the armor penetration effectively degrades Carapace armor to Flak armor, the removal of high damage vs. Flak helps bring flamer-wielding Zealots into more balanced territory." So it sounds like for those 4 seconds Carapace is treated as Flak. I guess Flak damage does more damage during those 4 seconds?
Could be misremembering but I think someone looked at the metadata and found that the "downgrade" takes whatever your highest +vs X armor type between the original and the downgrade. So if you have +20% flak +25% carapace it would still use the carapace for the damage increase but calculate the base damage as flak. It certainly does not stack the two together. I am not rich enough to test if this is still true since I know that metadata post was from like 4 or 5 months ago and I am fairly certain some things have been patched that have not appeared in the patch notes since some hotfix notes simply say stuff like "fixed bugs on certain feats" or things like that. I believe the aforementioned dev quote was just saying that they reduced the falmer's over-all effectiveness on flak because of CTW downgrade mechanic but it doesn't clarify if the armor is still counted as carapace for perks. I would say you should probably just take +flak and not bother with +carapace on the flamer since I do know that it is crap against carapace in the first place and let's be honest the flamer doesn't really have damage breakpoints due to the nature of the weapon (it does but that isn't why you bring it). on;y way to conclusively test would be to take a weapon that has +any% carapace and do some strikes with and without CTW active, then swap the perk to the same % value flak and do the test again and of course a control where you roll neither and compare the three tests. If you wanted to test that thing I mentioned that I remember reading might be the case (taking the higher of the two if one is lower) you could do that but only if the above shows that both apply.
Someone told me that grenades inherit the buffs from their weapons is that what you were saying in the video? If so how do you do it? Is it throw grenade and then pull out your weapon or do you have to have the stacks on your weapon and then throw the grenade
