Thanks for posting the best railway journey in the world, the trip down is ok but the one up (with the views of the majestic Jungfrau) are so much more enjoyable, whilst I prefer it with snow on the ground I'm more than happy to see it with grass on a wonderful summer day with the cows in the alpine pastures

beautiful place and scenery ,my wife and family and myself have been to the swiss alps,bernese oberland many times upto when our son died.When i was in the RAF in germany we went to Interlaken many times,manor farm we stayed at.Then the llast time in 2008 we flew from Manchester to Zurich and train to Grindlewald via interlaken ,stayed in a hotel in grindlewald ,and overlook by the eiger.Over many times we visited Lauterbrunnen.Kliene Sheidegg,also Junfraujoch,and wengen/brienz-rothorn,murren and many lovely places.we have many memories of the bernese oberland and kanderstagg plus thun.Yes many memories and remain with us still.Now retired ,ill health ,no more travelling .But those memories remains with us always Thankyou switzerland for showing us such a lovely place ,THANKYOU ALL.Mike and Jan Cox

Very beautiful scenery. I have never been to Switzerland, but I have been to western Sichuan Province, northern Yunnan Province, southern Gansu Province, northern Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and southeastern Tibet Autonomous Region in China... These places have many natural scenery like Switzerland, even more beautiful and spectacular !

Did this trip in February 1986, one of the snowyist winters since the 60s, yet the weather that day was sunny 8° C and skiers were skiing with no shirts on from the restaurant down. Beautiful scenery no matter what time of year and a country I admired greatly.

Many thanks for this trip down Memory Lane for me! I remember the rack-and-pinion rail tracks well! My family plus grandfather (who I thinnk helped discreetly with the cost) stayed at Wengen in March 1963 when there was still a lot of snow around. One of our excursions involved a rail trip from Wengen to Grindelwald, and I vividly remember seeing the great dark mass of the North Face of the Eiger disappearing up into the mist on the right as we went towards Grindelwald! The last part of the video brought back this memory instantly, although to reproduce my view exactly I think I'll need video from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelvald. I also remember the train going where a huge snowdrift had obivously only just been cleared. The winter of 1962-63 was severe here in the UK and I think in Europe as well, hence all the snow still lying in March.
I wonder how long all the glaciers will last - there doesn't seem to be much permanent snow feeding them.

Sound is typical with Cogwheel ⚙️ railway, especially on such steep terrains. See the extra gear ⚙️ in the middle of the track.

@@AKSense hi, thank you very much. if I go to jungfraujoch from interlaken ost via grindlewald and kleine scheidegg, i buy round ticket. but i plan a different return route, kleine scheidegg walk to wengen then lauterbrunnen and finally take train back to interlaken. would you suggest how i should buy train ticket?
Buy one way ticket to Jungfraujoch and then single tickets for the journeys that you want either on SBB app or online on Jungfrau website.
