    A little about me:
    I am James McBurnett. I live in the great state of Texas. Probably not where you would think, but I am located in the panhandle region. I moved here from Alabama and work as a Chemical Engineer in the area. After being here for a few years, I decided to get back to my roots as a fisherman. It is quite challenging in my area to find a body of water to fish. The closest lake to me is about 40 miles away.
    After a couple more years, I realized how much I love fishing and wanted to share it with the world. Clearwater fishing was born. I wanted to teach people all about fishing. This includes rods, reels, fishing line, bait, lures, largemouth bass, crappie, walleye, catfish, bluegill, boats, boat trailers, outboards, and anything else related to fishing.
    I also wanted to share my fishing experiences as well. To be entertaining, knowledgeable, comical, and FUN. This channel was created out of the love of the sport of fishing, and I plan to keep making content that represents that. Thank you for watching this video and reading a bit about me. Give me a shout out in the comments below and let me know you read this. Now get out there and go catch you some fish.
    Equipment I use:
    Truck 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie 6.7L Cummins

    Definitely like see more vids on solix's. I've been kayak fishing for almost 8 yrs now. Never owned any fish finders still. I have coin saved up for one now. I've been stuck between the Solix10 gn3 & mega 360 & echomap ultra 106sv with lvs34. I would use the lvs34 in prespective mode 85% of time. So with my style of fishing I think the 360 would serve me better. I think. Solix is a nicer unit definitely more exspensive. But I'm fine with price difference. Any suggestions?

      I just got a 360 unit and it is great for fishing cover. Not so much for seeing fish. If you just fish cover and want to have the best chance of seeing cover you would normally miss. If you like to see fish, then go to the livescope method.

    Hi, I would like your advice on fish finders. I believe I have seen you using Humminbird, Lowrance, and Garmin in your videos and was wondering which brand is the easiest to learn and which is your favorite user interface out of all the brands you have tried? Thanks, Tony

      @clearwaterfishing  Рік тому +3

      The easiest to use is Lowrance. The best control and image is Humminbird. The best live image is Garmin (but worst interface imo).

      Sorry if I made it hard to find. Under playlist on my channel it is under “Solix” I don’t have a ton of videos there yet but I plan on making more.

    Unfortunately for some reason none of dealers around me carry any solix's so I've never actually got play with one. I think imaging is better on solix than echomap ultra & only thing I don't like about Helix is not touchscreen.

      I love the DI and SI on my solix. It is hands down the best imo.

      For some reason my Solix 10 upfront in the bow does not read off of the i-Pilot transducer from my Minn Kota Terrova. That Solix produces the same imaging and information as my Solix 12 that gets its information from the transducer in the rear of my boat. Is there a setting on my Solix 10 that I need to set that would use the Terrova transducer??

    • @clearwaterfishing
      @clearwaterfishing  Рік тому +1

      @@brianbaars1882 yes, you will need to select which transducer to use for different modes, 2D, DI, and SI. Give me a bit and I will tell you where to go.

      You will have to
      Go to the Home Screen
      Select settings
      Select Chirp sonar
      Select sonar source you want to change and which unit you want it to use.

    It’s slow because that’s a G2. The G3’s have a faster processor in them.
