Truth. Geoff Thompson and a few others opened my eyes in the 80s as to the limitations of karate in the street. Though I train in karate, I focus on combatives. I added kali and silat years ago to fill some of the voids. I did tours of duty in the Middle East, and I understand real.

I like the Bruce Lee quote who’s more dangerous? The man who knows 1000 techniques or the man who practices one technique a 1000 times. I love the front snap kick to the nuts and Mr Saturday night special. You’re awesome Mr Hackleman

The title is false. My brother was only a brown sash in Hsingi Kung-Fu, when he was jumped by eight guys, and they all ended-up running away, after being beaten. Admittedly, two untrained friends were with him, but he did most of the fighting. Also, one of his fellow students was jumped by three guys on the street, and he beat them all, and a woman in his class was jumped by two guys, and she knocked one of them out. Hsingi is very effective as a fighting style, but most American's don't know much about it. See Mike Patterson's Hsingi tournament videos.
