    This was really really helpful. I was told i had to take the whole thing. Meaning the plug and unscrew the whole system thing. Didnt realise you could just twist this spring and get it out in 5 seconds. Ive put thejob off for about a month because i thought it was going to be big. I had the opposite problem though. The plug wouldnt stay down. So just replaced that click clack (Or what ever you call it.) Plug and play 👍

    My wife had a face on her that could crack granite about the stuck plunge plug in our bathroom. The kids continued to use it and left the water for her to 'deal' with. I got it in the neck because I'm a white male who obviously knows how to fix everything in this world. Your video saved a MAJOR issue in my marriage. Of course, some chocolate(over 400g bar) and 'oh, you are right dear' settled her down. I may even get a special kiss and a dinner when I get home! THANK YOU for explaining how to make my wife happy.

    Thanks for the video. I've got a house full of jammed pop ups! 4 at my last count.
    Problem is, the pistons (splines?) won't release from the waste. Any suggestions on that?
    Also, we're in a hard water area. When you refer to "the plastic ones" do you mean the pistons or the whole waste? I'm happy to replace the waste if needed but want to do it with something worthwhile.

    Hi there,
    I have a push pop drain similar to that one, except mine is a fixed circular outer part, and the push pop is in the middle.
    However, I've pushed it down, but now it's not coming back up, it's stuck. I can't turn it left or right but I cannot access it, its actually in the 'push' position, so I can't rotate it.
    Is there any advice you can give to fix it and get it to pop up 🙂

    • @lesterbathrooms3948
      @lesterbathrooms3948  Рік тому

      Hi, that’s a tricky one to get out. The only thing you may be able to do is disconnect the waste trap from the basin waste underneath (put a small bowl underneath to catch any water) once disconnected you could push something up from underneath (maybe a screwdriver) to spring it upwards. Please take care if you try this, it may not work and you might just need a new basin waste.

  •  3 місяці тому

    I have even worst version of this, where the push part goes a bit below the sink level. So when it gets stuck there, there is no way to unscrew it anymore as you can't grab the sides. Currently trying to come up with some idea to resolve this. Devil himself has made this design. :/
