Gate Fire spreading in north Scottsdale near McDowell Mountain Regional Park

A fast-growing brush fire is burning in north Scottsdale near the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Scottsdale Fire officials say crews are working to contain the Gate Fire (formerly Sand Hills Fire) that is moving northeast. As of Thursday evening, it has grown to about 100 acres and is at 0% containment. Several neighborhood structures were evacuated.
