Greer's actor is absurdly underrated, I've only ever seen him in POI and as a board member of Wayne Enterprises in the Dark Knight trilogy. I hope he makes an appearance in the Fallout TV show since his nephew is directing that, maybe as an Enclave officer or Institute director, because his performance as a mysterious, charismatic, and evil mastermind is astounding.
They had Michael Emerson (Finch) as an escaped Enclave defector with a juiced up Belgian Malinois, so seeing Enclave Greer working for a ZAX computer would be pretty badass.
Nolan’s performance was damn near the perfect villain, his body language, his subtle “arch” nuisances... I’d put his Greer right up at the top of modern science fiction villains, up there with Marc Alaimo’s Gul Dukat, both these men brought their characters to life so well that even though you love to hate them you can’t help but identify.
1:44. When Greer smiles and points his finger at John is a test. He had suspicious that Reese knew Finch since he knows about the Machine and Reese's reaction is the confirmation he needs.
I love John Greer - I see him as Yin, and Harold as Yang. Harold was trying to do good things without trying to do anything "evil", but John is more like me (My name is John as well..what a coincidence lol) - he knew that without showing world "evil", and without resorting to it, You cannot have order and peace. From my perspective, he was a good guy - trying to achieve a truly safe world...even though it might have ended badly, just like Harold said in 3x21 (or 3x22?)
Out of all the music pieces out of the whole series, this is the only music piece soundtrack I absolutely love to listen to. If anyone is able to identify this music playing while Greer and Reese first meet, then please let me know! I have searched Spotify, but they don't seem have this particular one. I am basically searching for that one song that always plays whenever Greer has his screen time. Please someone let me know.
The theme appears in the track 'Virus Within a Virus' on the season 2 soundtrack. Sadly there weren't any other renditions that were officially released.

I loved Greer
I loved his voice, his accent and his words
Fun Fact; the guy who plays Greer, John Nolan, is Christopher Nolan's Uncle.
yeah, he and his son appear in most of his films
And Jonathan Nolan, the creator of Person of Interest

i love any story that make both the protagonist and the villain has a point, they are both fighting for their own definition of peace.
He made Kara Stanton jump through hoops to get that information!
Greer reminds me of a Evil Mr. Rogers.

Great show but that they always just start shooting at eachother with 0 hitrate, not very convincing.
