- Hello and welcome back to PART 2 of HUMMER Purchasing @gasholesgarage5083. Well the white HUMMER just didn't work out. The owner and I just couldn't agree on a price after I found out all that was wrong with it. Supposedly they sold it for $11,500 after I made the video. So here is proof on how much better a vehicle you can get if you're patient and shop around. I got this one for only $13,000 and boy oh boy was that an extra $1500 well spent.

I bought an H2 last year. Amazing truck.!! I did Do a lot of work on it even tho it only had 58k miles. But the inside and outside are 9/10. I did a cam swap and changed all the suspension stuff.
I wish I could do a cam swap but im in California and it wouldnt pass smog:(
@@gasholesgarage5083 I’m in California too! Believe it or not as long as long as all the OBD green lights are displayed when they do the check up you’re able to pass it I didn’t put a big cam on it. It was little bit more aggressive than stock but regardless, I know some people from smog places that can make it pass just in case it didn’t have to do that. I took mine already, and it passed smog and I didn’t have to pay anybody extra.

The oil leak is more than likely coming from the oil cooler line gasket which sits right above the oil filter.

There really isn't a whole lot to film about. Knock on wood so far this thing has been pretty trouble free. Down the line there will be video's on upgrades to this machine but for now all my money goes into the main build on this page. A 1974 Porsche 914 we're putting a Honda K24 engine in.

Great video I just purchased one and has it for a year now I’m dealing with dead battery syndrome with a new battery not sure why have you ever had this issues ?
The most common problem on the H2 for draining the battery is the On-star. Most everybody just disconnect it completely. Check there first!!!
Just subbed! Love this content. It's like being in the garage with my dad again. I'm looking at the H2s currently on the market. I'm looking at an 07 with 95k-ish miles. Any input on whether it's a worthy purchase? They currently have it listed around $20k and looks to be in great cosmetic condition. Can you give an update on fuel economy you're seeing? I'm coming from an 08 F250 6.4L diesel that I average around 12.7 mpg out of. I'm hoping it'll be somewhere in that range so I don't see a big change in fuel expense.
Hard to say if it's worth it without seeing it. But with the mileage it sound like a safe bet. As far as MPG it really matters were you live. I"m in CA with my stupid smog laws. I only average 11.5 mpg. But a friend of mine who lives in Arizona gets 17mpg. All he has done is free flow exhaust, high band O2 sensor and a full custom tune by a skilled shop. I'm going to get a second computer for my H2 so I can just change it out with the O2 when I have to smog. Really glad you enjoy our shenanigans and THANK YOU for the sub!!!

Get timken wheel bearings next time there the best wheel bearings you can get

Im working on a video when purchasing you should have 10k for repairs… coils are much better than the air sus, bags eventually go too.
Been wanting one forever. I think this year is the year I pull the pin if I find the right deal. My 06 gmc is still running so no rush

And also, I had an 07 Tahoe that ran perfectly like your 06 GMC. But I kept dumping money into it and it wasn't worth it because it kept depreciating. That's why I bought the H2 because I believe its Hit its bottom pricing and will only go up as a classic. Fingers crossed!!!
@Gasholes Garage Mine has depreciated as much as it possibly can lol. I'm putting as little into her now as possible. With almost 350,000klm on it. It's amazing how well it runs and shifts. Doesn't burn a drop. Wish the previous owner would have undercoated it. Would have lasted forever, but it's too late
