QUARTER PANEL PATCH TIME!!! #duster #fabrication #mopar
Hello and welcome back to @gasholesgarage5083. Today we actually make some noticeable progress on the Peggy Dusty! We replace the lower quarter patch panel. It was so beat up, had RUST everywhere. If that wasn't bad enough the amount of Bondo and fiberglass holding it together should be a criminal offence.

Hello and welcome back to @gasholesgarage5083. Well It is so nice when you get to see some actual progress on a vehicle you've been working months on. And today is that day. As you can see by the thumbnail. the side exit exhaust is taking shape. Plus you get to see how we made the cutouts for it as well as some sub-frame connectors to give the car some more stability. Hope you enjoy it! #hotrod...

Hello and welcome back to @gasholesgarage5083. So what a lot off other UA-cam channels don't show you is what building a car REALLY takes. One thing inevitably always leads to more and more shit! Starting off with what only seamed to be a bad tail panel. lead to bad rear lower quarters, lead to bad trunk drop off's which lead to no structure holding it all together. So we got the structure and ...

Unfortunately after we took the tail panel off we found there was really nothing holding it to the car in the lower corners. They were basically being held together with duct tape, chewing gum and hopes and dreams!

All right, when you buy a use vehicle it is with the understanding it is "as is." That being said, if the seller writes in the ad, "no issues," then as is and no issues means it shouldn't have problem number one. You can sue and win; the seller is guilty of fraud, and ithe no issues statement in the ad proves this.

It just dawned on me that you are building a Del Sol if they would have put the engine in the rear. Where did you get the K24 trans adapter? I did not see one on the site, the 914 I got my hands on has a Honda V6 in it from a 96 Accura NSX and not sure if it's worth using, it has the adapter from the same company you got the K24 one from.

Just subbed! Love this content. It's like being in the garage with my dad again. I'm looking at the H2s currently on the market. I'm looking at an 07 with 95k-ish miles. Any input on whether it's a worthy purchase? They currently have it listed around $20k and looks to be in great cosmetic condition. Can you give an update on fuel economy you're seeing? I'm coming from an 08 F250 6.4L diesel that I average around 12.7 mpg out of. I'm hoping it'll be somewhere in that range so I don't see a big change in fuel expense.

Hard to say if it's worth it without seeing it. But with the mileage it sound like a safe bet. As far as MPG it really matters were you live. I"m in CA with my stupid smog laws. I only average 11.5 mpg. But a friend of mine who lives in Arizona gets 17mpg. All he has done is free flow exhaust, high band O2 sensor and a full custom tune by a skilled shop. I'm going to get a second computer for my H2 so I can just change it out with the O2 when I have to smog. Really glad you enjoy our shenanigans and THANK YOU for the sub!!!
