My dear Katherine Jenkins, you are truly an international treasure. Highly intelligent, incredibly talented and beauty beyond compare. To this Old Pirate and part-time Confederate Southern Gentleman from Virginia you are indeed more precious than any silver or gold and much more delicate. Just a thought from one of your many fans in the USA. I foresee an entire lifetime of success. Thank you for the many hours of musical enjoyment that I have experienced. I remember you telling me about thinking of the people naked to calm my nerves, I think of this it now makes me laugh so thank you. It didn't work when I met you in Liverpool I couldn't speak!! lol I was in the front row and was singing all your songs you kept smiling at me. I have read somewhere you have sang in my hometown Wrexham you sang at a Children in need concert in 2004 is this true. I was 4 then !!! love you loads xxx

Thank for the great tips. Those are not only got for singing those are good for every day. My 11 year old has been a couple of times on stage and the one thing I tell her imagine them in their birthday suite make her smile. Looking forward to you next album and video xxx
I did the Millennium Statium Tour with my boyfriend (one of Nigel's sons) two years ago and I was absolutely overwhelmed when I walked through the tunnel with all the sounds of a full stadium. And there you had your first big performance at an Welsh - England game, great respect!
So the next Welsh - England game is on sunday. Go Cymru!

Excellent tips for sore throats/illnesses before performing. Always have used the vitamin C when feel like a cold is coming on.

I too have a trick in helping someone deal with nerves, but once and for all, and permanent..
I noted a certain young musician lass visiting my friends, 17, was seriously afraid of the dark.. She came bouncing up the stairs in my friend's musician group's mansion, shouting "Well I'm gonna be a success in the entertainment industry!".. but she sure was afraid of the dark.. She wasn't gonna be success in anything with a fear so great.. So, I set it up with the roady to get her and most valued best groupies to a wilderness camping spot, on a long weekend, 80-miles from the city, out in the pristine friendly forest, where the all the wild animals are my friends, where she couldn't run and hide from the dark..
At 10:PM, in pitch black night, I approach her where she's sitting between friends on a safe-log near the fire.. "See that bit of forest over there.. In the darkness is a giant hungry beast with warm bloodied claws and fangs, just waiting for it's next meal to walk too close by.. She didn't want to look at the darkness.. I faced the darkness, straightened my clothing, stepped over the fire, and right into that dark clump of trees, and waited out of sight.. In a couple minutes they were all calling for me, probably thinking that maybe the great bloody beast took me, and that they were probably next.. I came strutting out of the darkness, with a smile.. Walks up to our little angel, "Now it's your turn, and it's all setup for you here and now this one time thing for you. If you can't do this, you can't do anything.. It's your choice to be a success or not." She looks deep into my eyes to know I'm telling it truthful.. Up she stands, straightens her clothing, steps right in the middle of the fire, and struts into the darkness, and hides there a moment.. Then out she comes in a minute and a half.. walking a little slow, and slowing down.. I sees her legs are about to give way, and rushes to her.. "Do you need something to hold to?" She made a little squeak and a nod, and we embraced.. She felt like a trembling captured little bird.. but soon the trembling stopped.. I made a cosmic ribbon, and energized it, then rammed it through the two of us, and "Swoosh!", straight-up through the clouds, passing the moon in two seconds.. and to Mars in the next two seconds.. where I brushed off the dust on the rover's solar batteries, and checked each wheel to make sure they weren't stuck, while she scanned the distant martian mountain range.. Then I kicked the rover's underside to make a dent which nearly flipped it over.. I took her hand and "Swoosh" we were back on earth in less than a second.. The roady saw the light-show as a bright blue needle of light.. I'm still holding her close, waiting for her to gain control.. I thinks, "She handled the Mars trip like a warrior.. maybe she deserves her sword, but where is it?" I reached into the cosmic, not expecting anything.. There were five scantily clad young beauties rushing to me, the middle one waving a shiny sword, holding it straight up.. I made my hand to receive a sword handle, bowed, held it, and waited, till a sword handle was gently dropped into my hand.. I caught it, gripped it, gazed down the blade once, turned it, gazed down the blade once, and moved my arm with the sword to my other side, hoping she was there to take it, and let it slip down out of my hand, and waited.. About 15 seconds later she made herself be seen twenty feet in front of me, facing her 11: o'clock, waving a sword like a kid spinning a fireworks sparkler.. Moments later she sighed an absolutely huge release.. She had gained control, finally!.. I whispered into her ear, "You did it. Now nothing can stop you.. Your audience awaits your majesty.. In a flash, she spun a sudden 180, not touching my arms, and shot her fists straight-up into the air, with a huge grin, receiving a wild noisy standing ovation.. Minutes later, her fearful friends are sobbing whining asking where she went, "where she is, where did you go".. I hears from in the deep dark pitch black forest, originating low to the ground, a little warrior speak in absolute confidence, "I'm gonna see what I've been missing".. is when the warrior hit me with all her love, making my legs so weak I Had-to sit.. my reward for it all..
Seems she was having a little pee in a wild dark forest, right where there is a huge spiritual-vortex running deep into the planet.. and totally unafraid of the dark..
I felt like a proud daddy, and puts another log on the fire..
Months later there she is on TV, taking awards.. Nothing causes her fear any more, not ever, no more "nerves".. And there I am again feeling like a proud daddy.. I hear she never "gets nerves" before an act.. No one wants to mess with that little angel-warrior.. she has a cutie little blade which is probably the sharpest blade in the whole universe.. I've read about a few foolish people who tried to mess with her.. I heard they wish they hadn't..
I empower good young people.. It's what I do.. but maybe I over-empowered that one..? 'hope not.. I wouldn't want to have-to take her sword away.. I won't tollerate use of love..
Picturing people naked does not, and has never helped me with nerves. I much prefer to picture them wearing turkeys over their heads, and sometimes linking arms and dancing to Disco Inferno.
Those throat lozenges you have on the work top are the most horrible things I have ever tasted. lol
