Aye, they did that with the G903 Hero. The G903 Lightspeed is the previous version. The Hero sensor is a lot more efficient than the PWM of the G903 Lightspeed.
Have had this mouse for nearly 2 years and have had 0 problems. Even after taking multiple beatings, this mouse still functions like it did when I first bought it. This mouse is GREAT for anyone with big hands. The way your hand sits in the mouse always for full extention, rather than feeling like your hand is smooshed together like that on a deathadder. Battery life is great as well. Hardly have to charge this mouse, even with RGB. It feels like this thing stays charged for days on end. Great mouse for someone with large hands that doesnt use a claw grip.
@@impact0r Do you use your mouse 24 hours a day? In extreme cases, I uses it to game for at most 5-6 hours a day and even then it would last 30 days. The mouse also enters sleep mode automatically so you do not have to turn it off and it turns back on instantly when moved. Comparing it to other mice which have 60-80 hours of battery life, I don't get the problem here.

The switches used in this mouse like most other logitech recent mice releases have issues with double click as reported in dozens of other videos. The mouse breaks down from use after anywhere between a few months of usage up to 2 years. I have had 2 logitech G903s now, and have been sent out a 3rd from logitech support due to the double click issues. If you have the technical skills there are videos on how to tear down the mouse and open up the switches and repair them. If your lucky your left button will break first, but mouse is unusable if your right mouse button gets the issue. Would recommend people buy a mouse with optical switches as they are technically immune to the issue.
Mine took only a couple months, I soldered on nice new switches and it works great now. I wouldn't recommend this mouse to anybody that isn't willing to do that. This is my favorite mouse ever but it comes with a hassle.

It's definitely harder than I'm used to. I have a Cooler Master MM710 sitting right here and it's much easier to press than the G903. If you don't like a firm wheel press, then the g903 may not be the best for you.

@@hadifelani My preference would've been to stay with the G900 instead of spending another $150 on a Razer Naga Pro but sadly I can't change how big the G900 is. 🤷♂️ A reality is that if your hands are 12+ cm wide, your 2 last fingers WILL NOT have anywhere to rest so your options are to roll them into your palm or if you use it fingertip style, to crook them so they make contact with the right side. I spent 3 years using it *Monday to Friday, 15 to 20+ hours per day due to work* + some hours on weekends and well... it took toll on my hand's health.

I bought the G900 which is identical size and shape wise and after 3 or so years of using it, it has significantly crooked my pinky finger and the muscle which connects the thumb with the palm feels permanently bloated. The software made it unusable too (it's been solved as of today but they solved it before and fucked it again before so...) by making it not able to charge and randomly deleting all your profiles and settings. *After 3 high end mice from Logitech and a bunch of other devices which miraculously started failing as soon as the warranty ended, I've finally learned my lesson...*
It's all back to each individual preference of comfort, my palm is quite wide, stretches nearly 30cm on both hands. Yet I still feel comfortable using this mouse 🤷
And I've been using it since 2016, that's 5 years.
@@Floating.Point. then sell it 😂
I should’ve bought the hero version but the Lightspeed version is still good
