How to - Crochet Lacey Shell stitch

  • In this tutorial I will show you how to make crochet Lacey shell stitch. This beautiful stitch is worked in double crochet and is very quick and easy to work.
    For this project I have used DK yarn, however you can do this simple stitch with any yarn you wish to use and use the recommended size of crochet hook for that yarn.
    This video uses US terminology. US single crochet is the same as UK double crochet.
    So follow along and learn this beautiful and easy stitch with this tutorial with clear and simple instructions.

    Very nice shell stitch...
    Multiples of 5 plus 2 plus 3? I am a tad bit confused about the additional 3 chains. Crocheting this tomorrow but will watch a few more times.

      so your pattern requires multiple of 5. the plus 2 is for one extra stitch on each side. and the plus 3 counts as your first double crochet in your first row.

      Yes you are just repeating the pattern all the way to the end until you reach your desired length.
