One of my favorite parts of Destiny lore is that as soon as Banshee woke up he immediately got rotten vibes from the Clovis AI before telling it to, and I quote; “Piss off”. He’s a great character and I wish we got more bits of lore involving him and the rest of the Bray family.
The reason why Ghost did the Drifter impressions is because Todd Haberkorn (Drifters VA) wasn't able to record those lines so they had Nolan North (Ghost) do the lines like that. Nolan also did Cayde's voice in Forsaken because Nathan FIllion didn't want to voice him if he was going to die. Also, Nolan did the Drifter voice so well, that Bungie asked him to make it a bit worse.
Nolan absolutely crushed it, I was DYING. I love that they made him downplay how good the impression was too! 🤣
nathan didn't have a problem with cayde's death, he was to busy filming for the rookie
That tidbit about him not wanting to play the character is 100% untrue.

Fun fact: Atrax is 14 years old and is considered a young child by Eliksni culture (which is impressive considering that she is a Captain rank with all her arms) she was hired by Eramis to convert the youth of other Houses to Eramis' cause.

The song in the jumping puzzle is Deep Stone Lullaby, such an absolute banger in the OST

30:10 The lore reading that shows Elsie's perspective when a timeline ends seems to imply that when she gets sent back, she basically inhabits that timeline's instance of Elizabeth and has to deal with all that disorientation before she can take action to try to do things differently.
35:00 - You had the same reaction we all did to the Deep Stone Lullaby. Worth listening to on it's own. There were world's first streamers who were stunned into silence by it live on twitch, it was a universal reaction. One of the best pieces of music along with the sinister Crypt AI intoning, "You now face God-like judgement. May it extend eternally!"
Good news, you mentioned the fragment quests at 22:40, bungie phased out the grindy and timegated quests in favor of just being able to buy them from elsie for glimmer.

On the note of the music
the music at 35:00 during the space section is called "Deep Stone Lullaby" you should REALLY look it up, its so damn good and symbolically its supposed to be the last thing the exos hear before they fall asleep and wake up wiped and effectively a new person. Also set against the space back drop with Clovis's speech and whatnot is easily in the top 5 moments in the whole game imo. Also your other question you should deffinelty either try some of the raids or at least listen to their sound tracks online. Destiny has fantastic music all around, but some of the raid tracks are insane. Cant wait for you to start the seasons tho, beyond light forward is a really clear tipping point imo, theres so much good stuff story wise coming up.

And it's not timegated anymore. Old Questlines were only ever timegated on release. So even after a few weeks after release it's not timegated anymore
Oh! Wait! If she's Elisabeth-1, then wouldn't that mean she comes from a timeline in which Clovis didn't stop her from blowing up the vex portal? Or perhaps a time when she never tried... interesting all the same!
Sadly I cannot quite recall all that has been written in the Dark Future lore book and or the lore about our very own Clovis and Elsie. Maybe because Elsie was to selfish she didn't try to stop the portal? Just a theory though

As for your question about soundtracks, yes a lot of the incredible scores take place in raids, so definitely make sure to get your gang together to take a shot at them, for both music and more story!

Banshee has been standing in front of us since D1 and NONE of us questioned the Bray symbol on his forehead lol I highly recommend reading the lore books about Banshee because it really puts into perspective of "nurture or nature"
51:23 there are no multiple exos, exos are converted human minds, so while there are resets, is only one to one
I have a personal theory about why we aren't able to shatter Eramis. (trust me, we have tried everything, from shatterdive to Prospector)
The power of Stasis is not of ice, but of control. It is the control of time, to an extent. We slow down time with our abilities, eventually to a standstill, where molecules align into crystalline patterns that resemble that of ice. This is no theory.
However, what is is why Eramis was put into stasis. We didn't freeze her, I think the cutscene showed that plenty well, with Eramis reaching out towards the pyramid as she once did with the traveler. It was the darkness, or some force wielding the darkness, which chose to freeze her, to lock her in time. That is probably why we cannot shatter her, a force much stronger and prevalent than us chose to keep her frozen and safe until it decides when Eramis can leave. We, the guardians, don't have enough strength to break her out of this inflicted stasis.
The darkness still sees use in Eramis, and such it will preserve her until the time is right.
FUN FACT 12:50 Nolan North, who plays our Ghost is a LEGENDARY Voice Actor. He actually voiced Cayde in Forsaken cuz Nathan Fillion wasn't available at the time (But he did so well you wouldn't have knows) And so with Drifter, his Voice Actor got COVID at this time and so Nolan Stepped in. ANd so Bungo got the idea "What if Ghost read the instructions?" And it turns out Nolan's impression of Drifter was 1-to-1 so they asked Nolan to "Ghost it up" a bit

Exos having to be built with darkness makes the whole msdeness thing make so much more sense. It's almost like they're being tortured trying to return to a life that no longer exists.

If you haven’t already, I recommend reading the Dark Future lore book. It details Elizabeths journey through one (of many) botched timelines. There’s some good stuff between her and Ana there, as well as a lot of fun alternate timeline shenanigans
They should have cosmetics to alter the voice of Ghost. I would totally buy 20 bucks worth of silver to get more drifter impressions.
While yes, there were exo copies of Clovis, and yes.. there is the giant head who's Clovis' conscious. Banshee was the actual Clovis exo himself. Not a copy, the real Clovis
there is a whole lore book about these dark futures by the way, yes plural, time traveler and all that, essentially every other timeline is doomed to end in darkness

The are some interesting hidden dialogues while doing patrols in Europa .
By helping an elikni ship retreat safety , Variiks comments " The is a new kell leading the House of Light , even being quite young for a kell , he is debote to his people " . Another one is ghost , after doing a scan in certain area , he says " This big machine gotta be where Clovis digitalized and put the memories of the living and used it to created the exos ... You know , we could bring Cayde back , but it wouldn't be our Cayde... Rest In Peace buddy . "
The Deep Stone Crypt is a fantastic raid, in terms of encounter design, aesthetics, music and importantly its powerful loot. Highly recommend you give it a few runs, and maybe consider watching Byf's videos on DSC lore as well. The BL year had some of THE BEST seasonal stories, and I know for a fact you're gonna LOVE all the juicy drama that follows.
I cannot wait until you eventually get to the Final Shape Collector's Edition!
When it comes to those two raid bosses; the first one was indeed an exo, Atraks, and you actually saw her in her normal fallen body during a campaign cutscene.
The other guy was the infamous Taniks the Scarred, who we the player saw all the way back in D1 during a strike and who’ve we fought many times after. In the lore every time he “dies” he simply is put back together with increasing amounts of cybernetics and prosthetics, quote “more machine than fallen” though in the raid he does NOT become an exo, as it seems we stopped them before they could convert him.
In our current records, he’s the only fallen to have ever killed a Vanguard! (Specifically a hunter Vanguard named Andal Brask)

Vex is the species we still don't know a lot about. We know that they simulate trilions of alternative realities with the purpose of studying things, but we still don't know if there's one single mind behind their actions
9:39 Just for some clarification: The Darkness itself is a sentient entity, much like the light and the Traveller that represents it. But its more like a Corrupted Neutral type of being, as Stasis represents Willpower; the Darkness will constantly try to bring out the worst in you and also test your mental strength order for you to use it to its full potential.
The Watcher in the Dark or recently known as the Witness is a seperate entity made from convergence event of an entire Species (think Reapers from Mass Effect or the Brethren Moons from Dead space but it’s THEIR SPECIES ONLY, not Influenced by another) ultimately fusing into a single being. The Witness' species were the first ever to be found by the Traveller after it ditched being the Gardener (at the beginning of time and at the start of the universe itself) and flourished to unimaginable heights with Golden Age after Golden age constantly for hundreds of millions of years, eventually the Witness species got bored and eventually found the Forbidden Dorito (Pyramid ships made by the Darkness) soon they got darkness pilled and believed that death is a necessary for the universe and everything that lives in it. They attacked the Traveller hoping to crack it open to get to its insides to make the Final Shape but it buggered off and left. They knew that the universe was huge and would take forever to find it so the entire species fused into the Witness so they could become immortal and continue the pursuit. (This entire UA-cam Comment is the abridged version of the lore)
Yes, a massive amount of Destiny’s best stuff is in the raids, and you should absolutely try them.
You have to check out the Dark Future lore book. Make an entire reaction video of it. If you thought the things Elsie said were bad just wait until you read the book.
Oh boy, you should DEFINITELY check out some of the raid music. The latest raids have had some of the best tracks in Destiny. I'll leave some recommendations here:

You reading the narrative previews is very good, it gives important context for the expansions. I don't think the ones after that had those, but look for the collector's edition's books

Ph I should warn you. Season of the haunted though, which precedes Seraph, is an emotional one. So buckle up.
I promise that this has no spoilers in it lol.
It’s perfectly fine for you to have skipped and just reacted to most of the post-campaign quests of this DLC. It’s pretty tedious and grindy. HOWEVER. I very much recommend that you play through at least the first post-campaign quest of Witch Queen, called “Of Queens and Worms” I believe. It’s not all that grindy, and it’s pretty story focused, and it’s just kinda cool to play through and directly continues the campaign’s story. Of course it’s ultimately your choice either way.
Also, this is probably still multiple weeks out, but a word of forewarning - do not expect Lightfall to answer that many questions. We (the community as a whole) all did, and were solely disappointed. Without giving much away, the only real question it answers is like, what exactly the Darkness powers (strand and stasis) are and how they work and are differentiated from the powers of Light. And like, it’s interesting and all but it really did not give us that much insight into the origins or motivations of the entity/entities behind the pyramid ships. There’s a bit of that in the subsequent seasons, and I assume final shape will answer a lot lol (it’d better or I’ll be sorely disappointed).

The Final Shape is less than 8 weeks away and I have ~14+ more videos to make catching up on the story. I will absolutely be completing the Lament exotic quest and actually have plans to start raiding with a dedicated group, but I don't have as much time to go through all the content in video format!

Yep. best Destiny music is found in the raids for sure! It is well worht getting into them, especially if you have a community of guardians helping you (wink wink)
