ITEHIL Off Grid Water Filtration | IT'S NOT WORTH IT!

- Hey, what groovy? ... NOT THIS WATER FILTER! @iTehil
So disappointed with the outcome of the ITEHIL water purifier, we flushed the filters 4/5 times in the end and the taste was still the same. I was convinced this filter must be faulty but apparently not.
If you DARE to test out this water 'purifier' for yourselves here is the link and the £40 discount code. Groovy40

Very brave drinking that water 😊
@@johnf4883 they call me Harley The Brave now. FREEEDOM!! 😂
Now that was a great honest review 👍😎👊🏻💯 BIG RESPECT 💚
@@thetravellingtokers6385 I appreciate that 🙏
thank you 💛💛💛
I was more impressed with the portable coffee maker.
@danijohnson1038 Yeah so was I, it tasted exactly how it should 😉
Well done for a honest review
@@kevjones2107 thank you ! 😊
Try a different water source. Fishing lakes are typically covered in mud and there will be stagnant water, not to mention high nitrates from all the rotten fish bait that goes uneaten. Try it in a place where water is moving and not enclosed. Even canal water would be better.
I understand it's not the cleanest but they shouldn't advertise it works with pond water!
@@the_groovy_life ok, but in reality, nobody would use pond water. A big lake, maybe. In reality you would always look for freshwater or a running stream. It would take serious filtration to remove everything from stagnant pond water.
Have seen systems for on narrow boats that turn canal water into drinking water, they have about six different filters all doing different jobs. Can't see how they can say just a carbon filter or two provides safe drinking water, without also specifying which sources of water it works with.
Exactly!!!
Its supposed to do Pond, lake and sea water... I even watched a review where someone used urine 🫣 like you said hows two filters going to safely filter that!?
@@the_groovy_life Here's what I found on activated carbon filters - "It can effectively remove organic compounds, chlorine and dissolved radon. Carbon filters will not remove bacteria, calcium and magnesium (hard water), fluorides, nitrates, chlorides and many other inorganic chemicals."
Maybe it has a UV light inside to kill bacteria?
@@the_groovy_life I just read that carbon filters don't take out the bacteria. I'm guessing it must also have a UV light inside to kill those. If the water has to be exposed to the light for a long time that might be why the drinking water comes out so slowy.
Just looked on their site. It says it uses reverse osmosis to kill bacteria.
@Womberto yeah it does but I still don't fancy drinking water that tastes like pond 🎣
Lol - just as you spat out the second lot of water, YT switched to a Gaviscon advert 🤣. Thanks for that review - rather you than me! 🤮
🤣🤣🤣 they knew!!
😂🤣😂LOL... That face and reaction was Funny! Yur brave, lets not try that again Harley. Hope you didnt get sick from that stuff. Lol , too much.
@racebanning6390 😂😂😂 I have learnt from my mistakes lol thankfully it didn't make me sick 🙏
I bought one of these filters and I was very happy with the way it filtered. My problem was the battery life was only 20-24 minutes before it needed recharging. No way I could get the advertised 27 liters per charge. The manual is poor. I am returning it unless their customer support can give me a satisfactory resolution in the next few days.
That's such a shame. I didn't get chance to use it enough to work out the charge, I knew it took a long time to charge up though, not good when you are on limited power. What water did you filter with it? Hopefully they can resolve it for you 🙏
@@the_groovy_life I was filtering tap water and using a TDS meter to compare the source to filtered water. ITEHIL is sending me a new filter. My planned use is to filter campground water so I don't need to carry bottled water.
I think I would have boiled it before I tried drinking it. We saw your mum on Sunday. Parked our van further down the hill, while we went to look around the town and find some lunch.
@@probablylost6847 aw thats cool! Where abouts were you?
@@the_groovy_life In Arundel. We had stayed at a farm and went into Arundel to find somewhere for lunch. My wife was chatting about the weather I think.
You're supposed to do the 10 minute flush through with clean water not pond water ..oops
@Pootz1000 it doesn't state that anyway on the instructions and they didn't tell me do that when I emailed and their response was the flavour is an unresolved problem 🤷♀️
@@the_groovy_life not good. I only know about the clean water bit through seeing it on other channels. Tbh though you could probably make a better filter for a lot cheaper using aquarium equipment
@Pootz1000 yeah to be fair you could! Maybe we could try and make our own one day 😊
I think they would be ok for 3rd world countrys, but never to perfect the tap _ home water, rtn if you can for refund, better save than sorry, i have large fridge in my motorhome so i fill my pop bottles with tap water & some spring💦, but ever so wonderful you have posted this article, so others don, t drink the pond🥴 wonderful vogs

Beautiful vogs, 🍒🌸
No mechanical filter will remove bacteria, you should boil it before drinking. Personally I would have tested it with rum and then if it didn't work at least it would have been drinkable 👍
@Defender200tdi I was pretty silly drinking it straight from the pond but I had so much faith in the product! You live and learn 😂 I had watched so many youtube review videos leading up to receiving this and not one said about the flavour or any negatives .....
Reverse osmosis DOES remove bacteria.
@@SACMP6 should it still taste bad?
@@the_groovy_life If it is true reverse osmosis then it would be virtually tasteless as everything including minerals are removed.
No vlogs this week. Harleys stuck on the bog 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@MrJayscinema 😂😂😂😂 at least I'll have an excuse time
🚌
It would be good if you were taking your van abroad, as lots of foreign countries don't have good tap water
@deeliscouspie you could get use out of it that way, but for such a big product there's so many smaller ones better for travelling. I tend to buy bottled water as it has all the minerals in, as soon as you filter there's nothing good for you in there 👍
@@the_groovy_life absolutely agree with you was just trying to find you a use
