    La yuca se monda dandole un tajo a la cascará y la vas asacar igual como mondas un guineo verde, me gustan tus recetas muy buenas. No me pierdo tus recetas gracias por compartirlas con nosotros soy de PUERTO RICO DE ARECIBO.

    I remember back in the day in PR they used to be baked/grilled on an outside fogon made of brick & a grill on top!
    I gotta say I've never added Sofrito to masa nor ever seen anyone else do it, but hey, im gonna try it...why not!

    I made for the first time your rice pudding and I’m telling you it came out AH-MA-ZING!! my daughter and my son-in-law just went apes about it. I didn’t think I would like it but I love it and will continue to make it your way.     Omgawsh! Waaow! I'm at a loss for words, it's just amazing. You have brought me back to a time when my mom and dad made these along with the pasteles de arroz. I can taste it with my eyes closed. They have gone now but the memory stays in me forever. Thank you for this video, I will be making them this weekend. 😙 👍 ❤

    Hi Freaking Rican thanks it looks delicious and here in Trinidad and Tobago we make pastelles in a similar way but we use corn flour bit its along d same way we do it. Merry Christmas to you and yours God Bless you and yr channel. Have you ever been to Trinidad come visit sometime lol

    I love that recipe, never heard of it bfore, I'm 72 yrs. & cook a lot of recipes, like Pasteles, Alcapurias Pastelillos, etc but never this, I will make it soon. God Bless You, myb I'll visit the Restaurant one day

    I'm making them right now, I just had to double check on the video again before I start wrapping them, hopefully I didn't forget nothing,my dad made them once when I was a kid and they were the bomb! I don't know why he never did it again,but he was a man you never questioned about nothing!

    Me encantó que le añadistes sofrito a la masa pq así lo hago también con la masa para pasteles y quedan bien ricos. Empanadas de yuca son mis preferidas y si son hechas al carbón ; mucho mas sabrosas y me remontan a mi niñez.

    i as a puertorican lady. your grandmother. your ant they know. a lot of recipes.from the old time and they cook so good. you dont need nothing el like mi abuela.rita. red beans with.achiote. fela del.caserio i use.to.have.a.friend name.elga she. i.use to.tell her. i.smell your beans. so.good sason from the old time.

    I love the machine but at 69 years of age I have no need for it. When I was younger and made Pasteles all the time I wish I had it. It's a beautiful machine. I can't wait for your festivals to go and see you in person and to eat this food.

    I did not know about cassava pasteles, but it makes sense. Vegetarian pasteles are also delicious

    Te felicito! Me gustó mucho que le echaste suficiente carne y a lo largo de la yuca. Empanadas, pasteles o alcapurrias ciegas son la antesala al fracaso. La gente las compra o tres veces pero al final se cansan de comer harina o masa de guineos sin carne y dejan de auspiciar el lugar.

    Sofrito a la masa. That's new for me. I started making pasteles recently bc I love them but I don't trust just anybody with the food I eat so I'm in the process of learning how to make them.
    Tomorrow I'm gonna be making empanadas de yuca so I wanna thank you for sharing this recipe.
    Btw, you look like the kind of person I would trust with my food other than myself and a few family members.

      @@Thefreakinricanrestaurant Made 3 of them yesterday with some leftover yuca I had last time I made pasteles and they were pretty good. A bit too soft compared to what I had before, probably bc I had added pumpkin to the masa so I'm gonna try it again without it. In any case I ate them all for lunch so I guess they weren't that bad considering it was the first time. Thanks boricua. Be blessed.

    In the States you could buy the Yuca/Casaba already grated packaged in the frozen food section. Or use a food processor which is cheaper...

    what are the Watts on that machine and for sure definitely officially it is a beautiful machine you can have it anywhere in the kitchen they represent itself however what are the Watts on it how much electricity and power it has how long can you use it 4 so it would not burnout

    I have been searching for this for years! I remember back in PR in Juana Diaz, we used to have them and it was kind of baked in a patio made oven with bricks. Don't worry about your muletillas such as om, um

    Pa you forgot' to mention' to all of your followers' that you have to remove' all' the stem's from the center' of all the yucas, That's what we call' La Bella' the stem' or the cord,🤣 my freaking Rican, I love you so much, And thank you' for sharing' all of your recipes, I think you are a great' and awesome' guy, and I really enjoy' you' and the way you explain things step by step, Very learning experience' to us all, my name is Harry Rosa I live in Manhattan and I have most' if not all' of your videos, I am also cook' and I love to experiment' in my kitchen, I like to play with different textures and flavors of course but only when it comes for only me cuz they say practice makes perfect I have had no complaints as of yet if you want I can always share things with you that you may want to know or try new and vice versa like I said you are a very important tool to this channel and to us so thank you once again for sharing and the opportunity to teach us' new dishes' and ways' to make them.       These are baked usually in a fire pit with carbon I think it’s so the paper doesn’t catch on fire
