I would highly recommend this book. I ran my last Marathon last year at 50 years old without any training - not recommended- anyhow I finished but broke my body. I hadn't ran again until I read this book but now back running on grass - which is start and the book was a great kick in ass for me to get back at it. Thanks David.
This has been one of the most impactful books that has ever hit my mind. Considering the nature of this book it’s only natural that you would review it. It would be amazing to see an interview with him. Keep up the great work!
As a person on the spectrum, the hardest thing for me to do is find relationships and build a sex life. It's a challenge. I've felt hopeless. Been looking into this book and felt a bit inspired. Also reading Gorilla Mindset and I'm beginning to feel less helpless and more motivated.
Thank you for this review I just finished two books 📖 my last one being limitless so wanted to get another but didn’t know which one should I read and you sold me on this thank you 🙏🏽
I don’t see this book as a comparison to physicality with what he can do and what you can do. Who cares if you run every day or not. Who cares if you are at the gym or not. I think this book is going beyond that and basically saying that if you feel inadequate in ANY area of your life. Be it financial, physical, mental, etc., etc., then you can change that by listening to those negative voices in your head, finding strength to rise above and go through the darkness, the pain, emotional stress to reach the light. By grinding every single day. It doesn’t have to be in the gym. That’s just one area of a persons life that can always be better. But what about careers, depression, loss, societal expectations? There are many areas of your life that a person can implement this book to. I read this book, and while I love the message, I could care less if I’m some bad ass in the gym. I don’t care if I can’t run 10 miles a day. I don’t care if I’m weightlifting and having the body of Bruce Lee. lol all joking aside, none of that really matters, David Goggins is using what worked for David Goggins. YOU use that message in that book for whatever you want it to be. Any man can be a bad ass if they want to be. It starts with the attitude. A no excuse attitude. That’s why this book is so good. Because he had so many experiences in life and he changed that around to be someone HE wanted to be.
Hey man, I was reading your blog on Self Confidence: How To Become Self Confident, I'm still reading it (on the 3rd paragraph), I love the layout of your blog post, so clear and bold to read. I was wondering if you would share the font that is used, it's just too good to leave, I want to use it for my blog. It looks like 'Raleway' to me but not quite, so, guess I'll just try Raleway. Also I'm using this post as a layout reference to help me design my posts better. Thanks for the great work! By the way I took the bulldog mindset quiz again and I have increased by 1 point. An increase is an increase! Aiming to get it up this year. Saqi
Sabe se existe esse livro em PT? Comprei a versão em inglês pra mim mas queria dar 1 de presente pra uma pessoa que só fala português... A propósito, procura uma entrevista desse cara no canal do Tom Bilyeu. Acho que o nome é "How to Make Yourself Immune to Pain". Tu não vai se arrepender
thanks a lot john really awsome book you always put motivation in your videos i appreciate so much the content you giving us good job and we will reach the bulldog mindset 😂never give up
Late comment but I think you went in his style when you did that Marathon with broken ribs lol. David Goggins refused to give up even after broken legs/foot (that time he used scotch tape and learned to run/swim in a different way is the epitomy of bad-ass'ing), even after kidney failure (at that ultra-marathon where he was literally shitting himself and pissing blood), and even after broken arms (in his way to break the pull-ups record). Even after his body and mind breaking... He did not stop!
Hey John, love your tips, love your channel. Here is my tip, please organise those pictures on your wall behind you, they are all over the place,😁Thank You 😁Still love you ♥️♥️
Boston marathon would be really impressive. Qualification times has gone down over the years. You must do a marathon under 3 hours and 5 minutes just to be able to sign up for Boston as you probable know . Are you up for it?
In the first two chapters I really see myself in his shoes like in chapter 1 I experienced his experience and in chapter 2 I also tried so hard to loose weight and pass the asvab to join the army and it took me 3 tries I finally pass
Going to look for this book today at local book stores. David Goggins is a modern day Savage Machine. We all pussies next to David Goggins and the pull up record is Brutal. I can't even do 50 pull ups. Respect Great book to advise people to Read. 💯👍
Can someone help me with this, he says taking a shower is suffering....how is taking a shower suffering? I wish he never said that , does this book make us somewhat weaker?
@@soilja2435 No, he said shower on the podcast that's included with the Audio Book, I've been thinking it over and it does take effort to take showers some people don't take showers everyday I think my ego is getting in the way a little, I thought the same thing maybe cold showerz.
@@soilja2435 I think the issue is that Suffering is a strong word and people need to be careful how to use is maybe Goggins got over Zealous about his teaching, he could have said effort or something
@@SeenaTabatabai I dont know when you listen to his stories especially the one about his first 100 mile run he definitely suffered, I believe effort isnt a strong enough word to describe what he went through
Sathyam Aishu yes motivates you to study harder give it your all. There are some curse words in there but I think it’s just to help bring out the greatness within you. Not sure how old you are though but I’d recommend for students in high school and older.
Someone else but David Goggins talks to. He says it in the audiobook it’s like a slash podcast. So when the narrator finishes a chapter. He asks Goggins questions about his story. It’s so awesome. I had that question too. So I just decided to get it. An I don’t regret it at all! It’s awesome. I have his book as well. I want get to meet him.

David Goggins is a super human. Mentally, Physically and Spiritually.
Confirmed - the book is good
In the first two chapters I really see myself in his shoes like in chapter 1 I experienced his experience and in chapter 2 I also tried so hard to loose weight and pass the asvab to join the army and it took me 3 tries I finally pass
Audiobooks are basically podcasts. So you listened to a book. You didn’t read a book.
