THANK YOU for showing how to get the cushion coupled with the mask. It’s not easy! But otherwise I love my Resmed AirSense 10 and Airfit F30 mask. It’s a great, silent machine.

Good video Sarah. I generally like this mask but I agree it is frustrating putting the cushion back on without any kind click feedback. I find myself pressing really hard trying to hear it click which never comes. So thanks for confirming my experience.

Ive been on an F20 and it drives me crazy, hoping the F30 is the solution and I start getting green faces in the readout. I've ben on 0/20 for mask leaks on the F20 and I'm shattered the next day fingers crossed with this one.

Great video I'm using the F20 and I'm getting rashes around the bridge of my nose 😢 I'm seriously considering the F30. Thank you for the video.

Have you tried a cpap liner to keep the mask off your skin or the AirTouch memory foam version of the F2O.

I'm having the same issue. I put some Neosporin on it at night and it doesn't bother me as much. I'm also considering the F30.

You struggled when you tried to separate the two pieces of the mask. I unclip the hose difuser before separating the mask pieces. No struggle.

Sarah, I've used the ResMed F30i for some time and generally like it. However, the air exhaust from the front of the mask really blows forcefully and often either annoys me or, even worse, my wife when I sleep on my side. I'm not at all hung up on the hose attached to the top of my mask and believe I would be happier with the QuietAIr exhaust feature of the F30. The only thing that would improve both masks is replacing the silicone cushion with a foam cushion like the AirTouch F20. Any advice or comments, please? (I really enjoy your excellent videos!)

I'm struggling with leaks above left nostril. How can I adjust straps to solve this problem.

Mostly, I really like this mask. I’m a side sleeper and mouth-breather. The problem is, the weight of the hose pulls the face mask slightly off kilter. I have to hold the tube to keep a good seal when sleeping. If not, I get the old whooosh of air leakage. Otherwise, I would recommend it. It’s very sturdy and a good alternative to the larger full-face masks, which I hated. It’s a little difficult to get the nose part exactly right, however, but once it’s in place, it’s a pretty good sleep.

I got a hose lift from Amazon. And a friend gave me an Evora mask to try. It’s similar to F30, but has a flatter front and a small tube from the front. All that really helps. The small hose is much lighter.

The material used on the cushion hurts my face. Can they not use a softer material with a reinforced edging. This could assist with seal on top of nostrils. The nostril portion is too floppy.

I started with the Resmed F10, which worked well for me, but has been discontinued.
The F20 killed the side of my nose below the bridge - a sore made worse by my eyeglasses.
After two days with the F30 I developed a terrible, painful sore below the tip of my nose - which stayed sore and red for two further days.
The length of the F30 seems too long for my face and really squashes my nose.
    Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of trying the Fisher & Paykel Vitera. Do you have any experience with it? Thanks.

I'm new to this cpap game, just started 10/7/23. I have the AirFitF30i and having trouble with the small piece that divides the nostrils on the cushion., it seems to block the airway sometimes. Can you cut that little piece out and make it open to both nostrils at the same time without blockage ? Would that hurt the seal at all or the cushion from working properly ?

    • @sarahthecpaplady
      @sarahthecpaplady  9 місяців тому

I have been told by patients that they cut it. The Dreamwear full face is open in that spot.

    • @ggirardin2014

I tried cutting the nasal holes due to the airway pinching you describe, but it increased the air bleed. The cushions are disposable so you could try and see for yourself.
