I know right?! I just got through binging all 6 seasons on Tubi. Couldn't watch the final episode cause I didn't want it to end. Wished my family was like that. Eddie was a character wasn't he?!!🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼That laugh of his, always had some witty zingers!!
Wow Steve. Everytime you're at Forest Lawn Hollywood, I wonder if my Mother is laid to rest near any celebrities in the ' Love And Kindness ' section. Just as you were panning across the grounds it looked as if you were very near her sight. She was an amazing gospel singer but only locally recognized. This adventure also brought back memories of my daughter defending ' Leave It To Beaver ' in a discussion class at her Jr. High School many years ago. She found the show totally relatable largely to the father figure. He loved his boys but wasn't afraid to discipline when warranted. Although she never said it, I guess I was her ' Ward ' . She's in her mid thirties now but I've never forgotten that. Thanks again for another wonderful journey.
I loved this series as a child & “love it now!” He does the best job on these videos & I so love his interesting style in filming these videos! His voice too is great to listen to but I love the topics he chooses to showcase! Fantastic video! I love this video that he did!🥰

Steve, I watched an interview on UA-cam that Burt Mustin did with Johnny Carson back in 1975. He was 90 y/o at the time, still doing well physically and was mentally sharp. A very intelligent and interesting man.

I'm not old enough to have watched the original show in its heyday, but I had a study hall teacher that used to watch The New Leave it to Beaver in their classroom and we got to see it. They certainly don't make shows like they used to. Thanks for sharing! By the way, so good to see people out and about there instead of everywhere looking like a ghost town. I love farmers markets!

Great vlog! Your narration is excellent! Apparently Barbara Billingsley owned a steak house as well. In the 80's, I dined with a friend of mine there. One of the best steaks that I ever had! There were "Leave it to Beaver" pictures in the foyer mounted on the walls. The restaurant, called "Billingsley's" was located, I think on Vanowen, very close to the Van Nuys Airport.

I had the fortunate opportunity of meeting Jerry Mathers and having him join me on my morning live radio show in Harrisburg, Pa. about 15 years ago. Jerry was one of the best actors I've had the opportunity to interview and learn so much of what took place behind the scenes that I don't think a lot of people were aware of. I was just a kid then when the show was on and never missed an episode. This and having done much research prior to Jerry joining me on my show, it was a true honor. Thank You Jerry!
Burt Mustin was from my neck of the woods, he was a Pittsburgh native. He had appeared on Phyllis. His character, Arthur Lanson, married Mother Dexter, played by Judith Lowry. They both passed away within two months of each other. Barbara Billingsley will always be June Cleaver. But I still chuckle when I think of her as that jive talkin' mama from Airplane. That was inspired casting.

I really enjoyed this video! I watched the show later in the 70’s as re-runs, and this brought back fond memories. Over time, Eddie became my favorite character.
Leave it to Beaver was one of my favorite show. Wally and Beaver reminded me of my older brother and me. We were both two or three years younger, but about the same age different. Still watch it as it a holsom show with good moral values.
This is such a neat video. I love seeing the Hollywood sights. I really hope to get there someday. There is so much history in that lot. I agree with the tours. I would love to go on one. Of course, I love seeing the cemeteries. Thanks for sharing Steve.
We watched Leave It To Beaver every week when I was a kid. We always had pop-corn and a R.C. cola. The fun part was back then you had to watch TV in real time, no pausing with the DVR so if you had to go to the rest room you just to wait... Great video....
Yes, VCRs didn't arrive until much later. If you missed a show it was gone until summer reruns, and maybe not even then. They filmed 39 episodes per season in those days! Cable tv didn't even come to my city until 1989! Up until then we only had 7 channels, but if the weather was really clear I might pick up a few across the lake from Canada!

I really enjoyed this video! I watched the show later in the 70’s as re-runs, and this brought back fond memories. Over time, Eddie became my favorite character.

Leave it to Beaver was one of my favorite show. Wally and Beaver reminded me of my older brother and me. We were both two or three years younger, but about the same age different. Still watch it as it a holsom show with good moral values.

We watched Leave It To Beaver every week when I was a kid. We always had pop-corn and a R.C. cola. The fun part was back then you had to watch TV in real time, no pausing with the DVR so if you had to go to the rest room you just to wait... Great video....
Yes, VCRs didn't arrive until much later. If you missed a show it was gone until summer reruns, and maybe not even then. They filmed 39 episodes per season in those days! Cable tv didn't even come to my city until 1989! Up until then we only had 7 channels, but if the weather was really clear I might pick up a few across the lake from Canada!
