It could be because of niacinamide or hyaluronic acid. Niacinamide can make me slightly red.
same issue with me, so i am using Neutrogena, it works good for me
I am too, which surprises me because it’s so basic and “gentle.” I get a little red after applying it. I use the basic moisturizing lotion.

That's a great idea! I always apply around 2 layers of moisturiser because i'm never sure on how much I actually need with my dry skin. YES to Cerapep!
Also the sunscreen is too little, only a dollop, compares to what we've been told to, which is two fingers long.

So many things in how you are applying your sunscreen (and even moisturizer) are so different from what we have learned: for example:
1. You rub your neck downwards as opposed to lifting it; or
2. How you apply sunscreen around your eyes and eyeylids.
Dr V, every idea you have for a product, we WANT it!!!! 😶😁
If YOU cannot find a facial moisturiser that has the ceramides and peptides that we need for skin of colour, then there clearly is no hope for the rest of us finding a decent moisturiser! So, YES PLEASE to you making your "cerapep" moisturiser for us! Can't wait for your sunscreen to become available. You need to seriously thinking about rolling out your own range of skin care for us with skin of colour!! XX

Honestly it does look like leaves a white cast. you are on the lighter side of brown so it may or may not leave a white cast but people like us who are more on the darker side of the brown will definitely find a white cast with your product.
Check out Dr. Alexis Stephens (dermatologist) UA-cam channel for a helpful review of this sunscreen. She has a brown skin tone and it works for her.

I’m in the states and use Suntegrity mineral sunscreen 30, 20% Zinc-Oxide. Its pretty thick and makes any hyperpigmentation look grey.

I think you felt that cause of the initial cast, I haven't used inzincable but with physical sunscreens it's normal to get a cast while initially applying the product, it goes away in a couple minutes after application. That's just from my experience using zinc oxide on tan olive Indian skin...I'm a fenty 290 for your reference
@@thelmajohn4149 I agree, I'm a fenty 290 / NYC golden almond and do find the zinc oxide does go away even using the inkey list spf 30 but I do find the high percentage zinc dries my skin, inzincable seems really hydrating so looking forward to try.

A lot of women of color use Mary Kay cosmetics because for years that was the only dedicated product for us. Could you please review their products … it would help to know your interpretation of this generational favorite

Hi Dr V, can't wait for your sunscreen! It looks awesome 👌...please consider making a powder form sunscreen also, I use colorescience brush on shield. Could you make something similar? I just find it so handy when out and about to reapply. Sometimes I wouldn't like touching my face when out shopping and not being able to wash my hands to apply sunscreen. Something to consider..❤

Definitely neeedddd the cerapep! I’m sensitive & oily! So of course I’m acne prone!! But have been on the hunt for a cerapep dupe ever since I used Drunk Elephant. Can’t find one that’s close that’ll work for my skin type without it being dang near $100. Lol 😭 (when I tried DE I got it free from Sephora as my gift sooo no I did not purchase the $68 bottle).

Is it just me, but there is a white cast? A closer look would be near the folds of the nose and showing the pores too. Also it would be great to see it in more than one lighting, dark shade areas too. When Dr V speaks I believe there is some sort of lighting too, b/c the cousins didn't have a bright light shining on them during their reviews. I would like to see it up close with pores and all, dark rooms, lit areas too.

Because she really doesn't use acids in the daytime!!! And neither should you! Acids are safe to use at night although some people choose to use them in the day!!

Just putting it out there: that was not the recommended 1/4 tsp of sunscreen and I feel like if you had applied more that mineral sunscreen would definitely leave a cast. I'm the same skin tone as you and I can apply any mineral sunscreen and not get a cast if I don't apply enough of it. I really admire you but this application video seems very disingenuous.
Edit: I just went back and you said you put one tsp on. Errrm no way!
Check out Lakisha Adams' channel, she tested a sample of Inzincable. She applied the recommended amount (she has dark skin) and even after a couple reapplications it seemed okay.

I think it's entirely possible if you rub it in your hands a bit first. I do this with Optima's Organic Aloe Pura mineral sunscreen and have no white cast. To be fair she probably needed to rub it in a little bit more in the first reapplication.

@@Deepthoughts4ever Well it is disingenuous if she says she is applying 1 tsp of product but she's applying a tiny fraction of that. I mean I've seen Dr V's holiday vlog, and I know she knows how much to apply. So why not apply that amount when it's her own product?
Loving your skincare videos. I am a makeup artist and I think you are doing pretty good. Love the products you used. I personally would do your eyeliner and lashes a bit differently to enhance your beautiful eyes and the shape of them. But on the whole, you did an amazing job 👏🏼❤️❤️

That will work even better for repited application during the day, specially for those who use CAMOUFLAGE Ticker MakeUp like me, (I use Dermablend makeup, either solid cream or the Smooth Liquid Camo version to cover up my really dark patches/spots on my whole face!! 😖😖😖). Spray version of the Unzinkable sun protection will be a total hit!!!
