Love the snare sound
Finesse, speed, technique, musicality. The full package!
and hard hitting! Perfect.
Thanks VIC!
feels really original and fresh to me. didn't expect it. love it.
There is the blanket in the sound that kills treble and transparency!
This is some wild fusion
Very Mahuvishnu
Very cool use of those bells! Very creative drummer
His playing speaks for itself, but I have to say I LOVE his cymbal setup.
soooo good
Tell your engineer to easy up on the snare gate. A lot of his beautiful ghost notes are being lost.
This!
So much being lost in the mix. Cymbals have virtually no sustain too.
could you explain what snare gate means?
Imagine a gate but the security guard only lets in the strokes that are above a set volume
It's an electronic sound processor that only lets sounds through it when the signal strength of the sound is above a certain level. Think of com radio and the way they chop off the noise when you don't talk. In a studio the gate is of much higher quality and used more subtle. It's used to separate the close miced drums from each other so in the snare drum you only hear the snare and not the hihat and kick for example. Gates are not perfect and they have their pros and cons but sometimes they work. It's easy to go overboard with an chop off more than you intend and it can sound a little sterile and unnatural. You normally compensate with overhead mics and room mics as a base and then use the gated drums for individual adjustments of the kits parts.
Amazing ! Great composition, and really impressive drumming ! Chapeau Bas ! Thanks for that :)
Great drumming and great tune!
What a beast!... Awesome drummer
Impressive talent.
I’m not a fan or zildjan, dw, or Vic Firth.... BUT immediately when I heard this I was like, WOW! It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a drummer with this this much taste. Not even talking about playing style, but the whole package... his choice of drum tones, cymbal selection, the way they were placed, textures, the whole nine! Theres such harmony in this kit, it ain’t funny. This was just music to my ears - in more ways than one. Dope Video! 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Bravo !!!
Gracias turco !!
The playing here is fantastic!! Great touch, great dynamics and outstanding time!!!
WOW! This is really cool sounding stuff, Respect!
absolutely beautiful playing! And this song is incredible...
Phenomenal Performance.
Piano and drums. You sir are a phenom.. brilliant
Truly Amazing!
q sonzera pegada de batera show.👌👍✌🇧🇷
Yo this drum set is killin. Might have to go with DW now
Lot's of negative comments.......I bet most would love to play as good as he does?????? everyone has their own way to express themselves on the kit, not one is the same......enjoy it, this guy is killer and that's why his video is here.....
boomer stickman The negative comments are mainly about the mix, I believe. Nothing against the drummer, he's extremely talented.
I need to know about these cymbals :)
yes, it's overgated and the ghosts are almost only guessable, but boy does it sound amazing. I am wearing nice Beyerdynamic open headphones and am smiling in front the screen like an idiot throughout.
Amazing Matt Garska-esque ghost notes on the snare....but we do not hear em....nice job sound engineer!
Did you listen to it with headphones as suggested?
Geil
DAT SNARE.
Tell me your cymbals you stacked on the right side, man - that pair is nice! On top a Zildjian K EFX 18" - isn't it? On Button? Thanx!
18" EFX K + 18 K Dark crash
might be overgated, yet can't stop listening to it through my beyerdynamic headphones. can't stop smiling like an idiot in front my screen.
Are you a shill for beyerdynamic or something?
Please, do not overgate that snare!
Quem são os doidos que deram desgostei?!
someone fix the hat stand
the legs are fixed to the left side of the stand.
I had that stand for a while. This is why I sold it.
Eric Lee same here. Had this exact dw hi hat stand and it did the same no matter what I did with the legs and cause I like it tilted towards me. Sold it for the new TAMA Iron Cobra Lever glide hi hat stand which has a special tilt feature and is sturdy as a brick wall. Never moves or wobbles at all on me. Ive learned that TAMA Drums and hardware and innovations is far superior to every other brand for me personally and also at a better price than dw products
@ 4:13 man, that's tasty
"November 10"
ae poha
br huehuehue
Ricardo Silva Tean Brasil poha americano no Burgues
The mix is not acceptable , a shame because it's good playing there.
Sooo tasty
no more traditional grip?
No more Sonor either...
I wanna hear them ghost notes
Meh I preferred September
PumaSpeedster good one 👍
terrible lo que toca este tipo...
Fire the sound engineer. Amazing drummer, music and playing, it's just a shame the mix is garbage.
Awesome hi-hat sound, but a lack of snare
as someone else pointed out there are a lot of ghost notes yet most are inaudible probably due to poor mixing
Jonathan Haley yep, that's what I wanted to say but my english isn't so good :)
:)
RIP ghost notes. Shame on mixing work.
Disgraça!
Not really musically
Игорь Бадибилдер Are you kidding me? This is incredibly musical
