I agree on the first two ones in the top row, the I really love the first three on the second row and the mottled hearts on the bottom row. From when I grew up in the 70s I mostly remember a lot of brown, orange, yellow, blue and deep green.
You are absolutely right about the teal and brown! I think they make a great statement. And OMG...the one that sweat... that's the one I like best. I love both colors of brown accented by the teal. Marvelous! I had to smile broadly when it came to the one in the second row...far right. I don't know why, but I thought of a circus clown outfit. That brought back childhood memories. "They were good ones". The black and white hearts were very stunning and reminded me of the early eighties when it was very popular, white furniture with a shiny black vase, lush white carpet. Clean and crisp...like a woman's pressed suit in an office setting. I have to tell you though, I grew up in the sixties and seventies. Think of Scooby Doo. The colors on their van were neon and I think they could be fun colors to work with. Neon glow sticks! What fun!!! Thanks for another awesome video. Your passion for the craft comes out in your voice. Don't change a thing because it's infectious and make my day that much brighter! Love and hugs. ♥️💜♥️
Charlene ... are you a writer? you describe everything soooo beautifully ! seriously love your comments thank you so much for taking the time to write them xxx Yes Scooby Doo and Neon ... those colours would look very cool xx
The purple and yellow are definitely 60's! 🎉😂. I had "hot pants" in yellow, orange, and purple paisley! I was probably around 8 years old at the time. 😂
Oh my goodness. I was crafting while playing this video in the background. I looked up to see the finished product, and let me tell you, I NEED to rewatch and give this my full attention!
ooooooo I had to Google G Plan furniture ... how gorgeous is it ! so vintage and retro and all of that .. The kind of furniture my Mum and Dad had in the 70's that you soon got rid of but now it is very much desired ! love it x
The brown and blue ones are stunning! Another suggestion would be brown and green which are both earth colours and one of my fav combos ever. BTW, that dark chocolate brown shade is absolutely 😍😍😍 so more of that period please! TFS :)
thank you so much lovely xxx oh Brown and Green would be beautiful together totally Earthy :) xx I have a couple videos coming mext week with these colours again love them they are filmed and ready to go
I did not expect all these colors, seeing your post on Instagram, I am overwhelmed and loved to watch your video! Thank you for choosing to work with this mold!
The white reminded me of clouds and feathers on the black - love them! My favourite is the brown, teal and gold one, even though it seeped through a bit it looks like it was meant to be there. It made it a good on gold pattern. These are beautiful
heyyyy lovely ... ahhhhh you requested? I am so sorry ... I searched for the comment but couldnt find it so thank you so much for suggesting the colours x they look great together x
The teal, turquoise, and brown is my MOST favorite, and I also love the other 2 teal and brown ones. I live in Texas but very close to Louisiana, so, of course the purple & yellow and black & yellow remind me of Louisiana State University and Grambling State University. LOL. They’re all wonderful though! ✌🏼💜🛼
I'm with you! Our school uniform was yellow and brown tartan (worst part is, I was on the student school committee to choose a new uniform, and yep it was my decision 🙄😂). Orange and Brown, purple and brown, orange and purple, purple and lime green....all retro to me. Love everything you made
ahhhh Melissa no way .. lol I do love tartan though .. so maybe it would not have been so bad lol I have no odea why I didnt do Orange and Brown I fully planned to but lol
The blue ones are definitely my favorites. Color suggestions for me are more aqua (blues are also my favorite colors), silver (prefer over gold but I wanted something less warm than gold anyway) and purple. Or blue, purple, green and silver, all in light shades to suggest an icy look. Also dark purple and dark green with a touch of gold. I'm both American and Puerto Rican and both my flags are red, white and blue so I've got to suggest that combo (also Pepsi vibes to go with your Coke vibes here, lol.) BTW, if you draw on a jack-o-lantern face with black or yellow and fill with orange, that could be cute for Halloween. Alternatively, you could do a full orange circle of the Jesmonite, carve it out like you would a pumpkin and then drop it back in the mold over a clear layer of resin and then back it with black, but that's way more work. 😅 You could also try filling the bottom of the mold with clear resin, letting it cure to the jelly state and then setting a bit on cling wrap on top and poking at it to make waves and texture, letting it cure, removing the cling wrap and THEN drizzling the Jesmonite on, but drizzling different colors in different directions and then backing with more resin. You'd lose the texture difference but you'd get really interesting patterns and dimension. Oh, metallic foils or those color shifting nail art foils in the resin could have a nice contrast with the solid Jesmonite as well. Just a few experiment suggestions for you. 😉
My favorite one is the blue/brown/gold one. I think the dark part was the brown resin seeping into that center part. if you look back to when you were doing the blue powder you can see the brown resin going into the gold area. 6:46 is the timestamp.
thank you so much lovely ... ahhhh yes someone else mentioned this and it totally makes sense. I didnt even think at the time that is the area with the White haaaa goes to show how different background colours change the MIca x
I think the dark shadow in the second fave blue one is bc the brown resin was behind that part and the white resin was behind the other parts? I might be wrong. I think part of why the brown and turquoise work so well together is that the brown almost looks like wood - it is a nice bronzy color with some nice texture.
heyyyyy Wally you have such a great point ... that makes complete sense ! see... this is why I need you guys ! haaaa Sometimes I just do not think logically at all lol
At 7:32, when you start pouring white resin into it, there's already some brown that spilled between the two jesmonite lines. That's why the white turned darker there, as it mixed with the brown.
I, too, love the brown and aqua! I have to say that, unfortunately, the 1st thing I saw on them all was the bubble holes (recesses). Do you actually sell these and, if you do, do you mention the holes?
I'm gonna be in the minority with this, but the purple with red/orange squiggles is my favorite, then the teal, gold mica, and brown. It reminds me a little bit like a portion is tiger eye. I need to see if I can get some molds and these resins to play with.
Claire you make the most intriguing things. I would love to order this mold and the jesmonite to try myself. I followed your link to the site for the mold and couldn't find it. Do you happen to have a direct link? Thank you, Jeanette
@@ClairesCraftyCorner oh nice, I had seen one of your videos, months ago, where you compared the difference between jesmonite, plaster and cement but I think you used acrylic paint in that particular video.
The discolouration is your brown pigment.. it went under the white.. if you look back on your vid you can see the brown seeping into the center from the back
Thank you so much lovely xxx yesss a few have mentioned this now I honestly never even connected the two haaaaaaaa but so interesting to see how the different colour on the back affects the Mica xx
You are so great and beautiful- what is this resin called ? I tried to hear it again and again, but you speak very fast for us non English ;) love your Chanel
Love the brown & blues and the cool black & white hearts!
Brown and teal is my favorite... The brown reminds me of wood.

These color combos are THE BEST!! Do you seal these at all? Top coat with resin? Will the Jesmonite chip away with use?

Have you tried mixing the jesmonite pigment in with resin to colour it? Or have you tried the colorant with other plasters?
hey Kelly I have not trid the jemonite pigment in resin but I have used the pigments for plaster and cement x they work
