- At almost 140cm long this is the BIGGEST Barramundi I can find EVER caught on film. I am sure there have been bigger barramundi caught but this may be the World's biggest barramundi ever caught on film and I even had my drone in the air at the time. We all go fishing for giant fish, and it's incredible to tick this one off! Not sure what is next, I guess that unicorn fish is over the 140 mark.

That was or is the MOST memorable fish of my lifetime! Still have no words to describe how incredible that fish was and i still feel that the video doesn't do its size justice. Thanks for tuning in legends.
With the lures you use new abs 80 resin would be good get a number 2 or 3 sinker drill out add pin and a tow point fill with resin plus add micro spears to shell of sinker it is the new plastic hard bodies are made from and baits like you large cod lures are mad from mor spears added lighter it is.

GO INTO A NEWSAGENT FIND THE A4 NOTE BOOK 📙 WITH THAT COLOURED PLAST COVER ITS ON THE WIRE COIL TYPE I USE THE PURPLE OR FROG GREEN PLASTIC COLOUR INVERT LURE TAIL IE ANY LURE CAN BE USED MARK OUT TAIL GLUE TO OUT SIDE SHAPE OF TAIL THEN COPY AGAIN BUT CUT DOWN FRACTION SMALLER X3 LATERS GLUE GIVE 24 HRS AIR TIME. WATCH WHAT HAPPENS HINT GREEN GREEN LOL 😂 HARNNESS UP IN BOAT LOL 😂 YA COULD GET RIPPED STRAIGHT OFF THE HULL OF YA BOAT LOL 😂 ENJOY.
Awesome fish but i will have to disappoint you and tell you I caught a 148cm Barra wich was filmed by my friend and photographed which would be by far the record.

Must be a weak fighter, as a boy in Jupiter I wouldn't go fishing without at least a 4-0 with 30lb. I live north of that now, and fishing sucks everywhere but home.

Not really mate, mainly just overall length or fork length depending on the fish.
I’m sure there is other weighing methods, but it’s also not great to hang a big barra from its jaw
I have a sling bag to put them in but didnt have it with me, mainly use it for my offshore stuff
nah not the biggest. have a look at the local Rockhampton news, there was a 1.5m+ barra caught just near the bridge at the rockhampton barra tournie. It's guesstimate weight was 50-60 kg. A true donkey!!!! around the year 2000. Have a look.

Hey mate, thanks heaps. The fish was actually only pinned from one stinger which was a 1/0 Vanfook DT58 but the main hook is a 8/0. I think adrenaline helps to lift the big ones

Yes it was mate, its very good 60lb fluro but yes i guess when you think of the weight of this animal and the fight that is light but i wasn't really expecting something quite that gigantic.

@@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing wow, I haven’t used a gold bomber for 30yrs. Back in the day when I used to fish Weipa for Barra I preferred the gold Rapala Husky Jerk for its superior suspending performance. Ive predominantly been casting big paddle tail SPs in the Fitzroy but when using HBs I’ve been using the Squirrels. I’ll heading back there just after next neaps, as it’s just down the road from me, and based on your recommendation I’ll drop the casting altogether, turn off my hummingbird, go get a couple of gold bombers, upgrade the hooks, start trolling about aimlessly, see how many catfish jump on this time. I’ll let you know how i go.
