Going in for hard-core IV sedation on Wednesday to have all my top teeth pulled out! This video has totally chilled me out about it all :) thank you ❤❤
Hey Justin, everything went smoothly! Easy peasy!! It was a little disconcerting when I woke up and they told me it was done, but totally pleasant other than that. Still completely numb so, once the novacain wears off, we'll see how that part goes. My wife is out picking up the pain meds so I'll have some strong stuff if I need it. My jaw is pretty swollen so I do anticipate some pain. Anyway, thanks for helping put me at ease yesterday! It helped a lot! Be well!
Not my first extraction, but this one is more complex hence the general anesthesia. So first time for oral surgery as opposed to simple extraction. Just a little nervous about the whole thing, but given the fact that you are responding to me and posted a vid on your experience I expect that there is a reasonable expectation that I too will survive. Adding this in an edit: what was your recovery time like? I hope to be able to work the next day. Help desk type job so no strenuous activity, just talking to people on the phone that aren't real savvy with a computer.
I’m getting mines pulled out Wednesday and I’m TERRIFIED of IV sedation lmao I think I’m scared because I have heart palpitations and I’m afraid it’ll raise my blood pressure
How was it? I'm having 9 extractions thursday! Please tell me the truth. Did it hurt? Do you remember anything? Have you felt the pressure that you ussualy feel when they take your tooth out??
Helo Justin, do you think if pain occur during tooth extraction while you under sleep sedation, the patient remains sleeping? it can really fight the unexpected pain during procedure ?
@@JustinMyersPhoto i want to try it also. but slight nervous unndegoing sleep sedation. i want 3rd molar extraction just a simple case, not oral sugery and not impacted. but i have trauma with my past tooth extraction its so painful.
I wouldn’t plan on it. I definitely wouldn’t have been. But ask the endodontist or surgeon doing the procedure what they suggest, they should definitely be able to give you a better idea
@@daltenmorris5072 oh wow, then this will actually be great for you. The procedure will be like taking a nap for you and you’ll wake up with the wisdom teeth gone!
@@JustinMyersPhoto ok I had it done it’s not bad at all I was awake the whole time they don’t put you to sleep at that place but luckily it wasn’t bad at all I still have some pain but other than that been doing good I think I’m going to get over my fear of dentist
@@JustinMyersPhoto I just dont wanna talk to anyone I've done both my upper awake, and my lower are pretty impacted so the surgeon wants me asleep but I'm so nervous to be put out. Were you in control of what you were saying or was it off? And after were you aware or not so much. I just wanna get in and leave. I dont even want to be asleep
@@elleb8384 I didn’t remember what I had said when I woke up several hours later. But, once I watched the footage back, it was still me, just a little goofier
What do they give you people in America? I’ve never had or seen anyone have those smack head reactions most of you people have after procedure. Only there.
For dental sedation, like this, the IV portion is usually Versed (Midazolam) and ketamine, with a touch of propofol I If needed…but mostly just the first two

All I can tell you is that I remember absolutely nothing from the time the sedation started until several hours after I went home
