This story is very similar to mine. My now husband is 5 years younger than me, I can vouch that he’s far more emotionally intelligent than most men i’ve met. He’s romantic, thoughtful and supports me in every way possible.

I was turning 24 and my husband was 20 when we first met. His age shocked me as he looked my age.. first it was weird as I always dated my own age or older.. I think its more about the maturity of the man.. when we talked I didn't even think about his age as he was so mature.

The problems associated with older men is they're stuck in their ways, huge power dynamic imbalance, he's at a stage of his life that you're not in, not relatable, etc. I think sometimes women think they want a guy that just "knows it", but once they get that, then they realize older men are not more mature than younger men. They're just immature in a different way.
The burden of maturity is placed on the woman regardless of what age the man is. I think once you realize what you want from a man and a marriage, you can select a man that fits into that. Some men want us to select them based on these absolutes, but that is reckless considering relationships are delicate. Most women do not realize this until they meet an older man who has a bunch of bad habits as "experience".
Bottom line is, don't base your decisions on absolute concepts. It's ok to meet a man who is incomplete. It doesn't mean you should allow him to force you to do his job, but at least you can tailor that relationship to your liking and make suggestions. It's all about balance.

Prayers are so important. I’m not religious but I always pray every day. When I was at the university a man asked me about a restaurant. He had been in the US on business for a short time. We had lunch and much later got married. God/Allah/Hashem whatever name can send the perfect person when you least expect.❤️🇺🇸🇸🇦
